I think you are touching on a broad (and generally poorly defined) class level complaint that is only colored black by happenstance on this particular instanced basis. It adds extra offense to see a non-white person in the high role in such a complaint but the basis of the complaint is not rooted in his blackness or negrocity or what have you.
Why do people buy remakes of games that practically look the same as the original? I remember an FFVII remake- it looked and played nothing like the PS1.
