How does one measure happiness? You can't measure it. Most people ask questions like "are you happy? Rate on a scale from 1-10". That's not a measure of happiness. In a Brave New World, the people would have said they were a 10 when it came to happiness because they didn't know any better. If you're propagandized to believe you are happy then you might believe you are even if you aren't. What is "normal"? What is clown world? If you think clown world is normal and someone asked you what normal is you'd answer clown world but is clown world actually normal? We haven't even touched on cultural differences. In some cultures being happy is not seen as a good thing the same way American culture is because if you're happy it means you're too comfortable and not displaying enough humility etc... Culture can impact how people answer.
Any measure of happiness is flawed.
And your measure is well-being which uses worthless measures more often than not like linking post-secondary education to well-being or literacy. Someone can be illiterate and still better off than someone who is literate, same for being educated or not. Also, material possessions and GDP/income, etc... doesn't necessarily translate over to "well-being".
All these measures at the end of the day are usually entirely flawed.

Genderless, more or less. The concept of "both genders" is something that develops after the split.

The ideal, like living in the Utopian place before eating the fruit was the ideal and we degraded from it.
What I just described above is supposedly why men desire women so much and women desire men because that's how we complete our form but this completeness is not true completeness. It's a lie more or less which is why the true love we seek never seems good enough. It's fleeting and always met with disappointed because we can't ever truly fill that broken piece of ourselves which is humans spitting into two different fenders into of our ideal hermaphroditic forms.
This could also explain in a mystical fashion, why men try to be women or vice versa yet it's never good enough and they commit suicide or are disappointed and they don't truly want to be either or and can't decide etc... They're trying to complete themselves and yet nothing they do will truly complete them because the true completed form of a human is hermaphrodite but not just in genitals but in spirit as well and no amount of chopping off your dick will give you the femininity of a true female etc... Humans can't complete their form despite trying very hard to. The compromise most people came to was fall in love and get married. Find synergy with a person of the opposite sex and bond with them. That is as close to the completed form as you can get. Today though, people are trying all sorts of different ways to complete themselves and failing miserably.

I can tell you that the vast majority of people, if they weren't paying into a government pension, would likely have 0 pension at around 64yo. The people who have the discipline and expertise to have saved that money in a way better than the government, in most cases, already have money on-top of the government pension for their retirement and this change is going to have virtually 0 impact on their ability to retire.
The people this hurts the most is average people who are 100% reliant on the government for their retirement and in a lot of these scenarios, what they actually paid into the system is less than the value they're getting out of it, which is why a change like this ends up being needed.
If this change isn't made, all that happens is you kick the can down the road and younger people end up suffering significantly more by perhaps needing to retire 4 years later so their parents can retire a couple years earlier.
The changes are needed. If people want to retire sooner than 64, they can save their own money for retirement. People who rely on the government to fund their retirement are worthless humans anyway.
