Two feminist axioms:

Per feminism (and hypergamy):

  1. Anything that increases female agency is good.

The feminist perspective is that the battle of the sexes is a zero-sum game; oppress or be oppressed. Summed up as:

  1. For women to win, men must lose.

Therefore the feminist will conclude:

Anything that increases male agency (for instance: access to attractive fictional women) decreases female agency and (as such) must be opposed.

Q.E.D.

I fleshed out argument here. Basically, they're dressing up the art as a person who needs to be 'respected' because of competition against women's presumed monopoly on hetrosexual men's attention. The feminist is trying to 'protect' the fictional woman's 'agency' to keep her from competing with the Sisterhood. If the woman in question weren't fictional, then a back-biting catfight would start.

Why don't you ask her why she's being jealous about fictional women?

A woman treating herself as an object is clearly empowering, because it advances female agency.

A hetrosexual man enjoying a portrayal of a woman as a sexual object is clearly problematic, because men should not be allowed to satisfy themselves with fictional women. That would prevent those men from being subservient to an actual woman, potentially reducing female agency by reducing the amount of male attention and resources they receive.

Everything being argued by the feminist can be expressed in terms of women's agency and domination of male attention and resources. In the eye of hypergamy, there is no contradiction or limitation: only women rationalizing an ever-greater share of male resources in a zero-sum game.

Angela Davis, I do believe.

Here's her take, chronicled by The Root.

I think they pushed the Overton window too fast, so they're losing a plurality of the people who used to accept the legacy media as mainline 'truth.' (This includes me; I was brought up Blue Tribe.)

I do wonder what the urgency is on their part, because a slower boil would have kept more frogs in the cooking pot (which would have been 'ideal' for their side.)

I suspect the urgency is due to the older generation of neo-Maoists pushing the culture war for political reasons being replaced by younger 'true-believer' types who adhere to intersectionality as a religion.

If my supposition is correct, it means that the acceleration isn't a rational stratagem, but rather a natural consequence of the left's center-of-mass politically tilting towards the Progressive zealot's PoV. They are overreaching precisely because they believe it's a moral imperative to proselytize and convert/destroy their opposition. 'Silence is violence' and a totalitarian approach to morality inevitably follows. 'Either you suck the feminine penis or you go against the wall.'

That would mean that the media has essentially lost control of the Progressive golem's thought processes. The mask is has come loose and more and more people realize what the left is about. In attempting to direct Progressives, they need to appeal to the narrative-- the way things 'should' be, per Progressive morality-- more than what actually is.

As the narrative moves past people, those of us getting turned about in the wake of the leftward movement are left to piece together how to respond. Some will flail, but more and more will come to the conclusion that the left needs to be stopped and won't accept the messaging & framing of the Legacy Media. Welcome to the 'post-truth era.' It turns out to be a spiritual battle for the soul of the West.

It's exactly the difference between throwing all your money under your mattress or in a safe vs. a earning interest as deposit in a fractional reserve bank, or illiquid investments like stocks or bonds.

Expecting lefties to know what happens when you have money is a fool's errand. Most of them have never had assets and live benefit check to benefit check.

Normal hostile buyout, tbh.

Aligns well with a WEF CEO being installed, too.

Community notes landing on that poor fool like a Star of David badge, and he can't take it.

It is to laugh.

It's compartmentalized environmentalism. The child slaves mining the rare earth needed for EVs in African strip mines are intentionally left out by the 'carbon footprint calculations' and ESG posturing of the anointed. It's even blinder than business-as-usual, because everyone's eating the peeling lead-based green paint chips peeling off the greenwashed business model with gusto. It's sweet like candy and nobody wants to say that these new practices are at least equally destructive compared to traditional technologies.

All the Anointed want is a dream of a clean green grid, paid for by taxing the existing infrastructure past the point of collapse, so they can ride around in their carbon-neutral EVs which will be powered by wind, sun, and unicorn farts-- while the world spins ever closer to a Great Collapse.

I think I know how the rank and file Romans felt as their world teetered towards the trade collapse that preceded the Dark Ages.

I think he's smart enough to recognize that we're playing a losing game with them.

I think he still identifies as a liberal, and that isn't a position he's reasoned himself into, so he'll be a long time disengaging from that element of his identity.

If any of you have been following James Lindsay, as I have, this is a documentary of the Grievance Studies papers that several academics (including him) created and published in 'reputable' social justice periodicals.

This is very much the Sokal Hoax writ large, with targets selected across the 'disciplines' of social justice, selected for maximum authority within the field and absurdity in terms of content. For example, one paper was a chapter of Mien Kampf, where 'men' replaced 'jews' and 'women' replaced 'Germans' and 'Volk.' Another highlighted paper I remember is the hetronormative oppression of dog parks, because they routinely suppressed queer dogs from humping one another.

I have commented on Lindsay being a Reformer. He and his fellow hoaxers engaged in maximum blasphemy against the cult of social justice, and I look forward to the documentation of the Maoist response to their wrongthink.

I wish Lindsay weren't so set on being on Twitter that he set his Gab to repost his Twitter account.

He's going to be co-opted in his attempt to reach a broad mainstream audience, because despite how well he names the diseases that plague liberalism and academia, he is a reformer. The evil he's describing has metastasized well past the point where reform can fix it, having set into every institution through the long marches Fiere ordered.

Naming the Devil gives you the power to fight it, but by aspiring to be a mainstream academic James doesn't have answers to the problems he highlights. The Ivory Tower needs to be torched, but James is trying to save it.

The part where we are called to hate the sin, but love the sinner. Also Jesus reserving Judgement on the Father's behalf. And as much as I am called to oppose the wicked, I am called to pray for those who spitefully abuse me.

It really does suck having a conscience sometimes.

That is absolutely the pattern they use with antifa, BLM, and other useful idiots. I am merely pointing out that their usual smears are plausibly deniable in this case. Nobody who isn't already aware of this pattern will be convinced by an ambiguous example like this, where the summary is accurate enough not to count as obviously biased.

It's not really 'interesting.' It's just journalists behaving like presstitutes, as is usual.

Oh yeah, I'm talking specifically about the royalties-as-bribes schemes, where ghost-written books that have no business being best sellers are bought as pulp.

The Chinese are shady as shit in their business dealings elsewhere, too, but when I think Bookstore, that's the particular scam I think of.

Erithal 4 points ago +4 / -0

To be fair, I don't see how a 'group of guys' can be 'pounding the living shit out of him [the antifa kid]' without it being violence.

It's not a 'gotcha' on Tucker at all, but the use of 'violently attacking' to summarize the video he watched is correct.

Erithal 12 points ago +13 / -1

I'm not anti-communist enough to be full on Polish mercenary Rafal Ganowicz about taking human life, "I wouldn't know, I've only ever killed Communists." I fantasize, and I sympathize with Tucker-- I find this level of disdain for my fellow man very perilous for me as a Christian, yet the problem of Communist subversion persists and worsens.

It would undermine all that work they did with those rallies blaming guns. Having to admit that the motive was Transgenderism and anti-Christian sentiment? Totally unthinkable reversal of the narrative.

People might realize they're being lied to by the media!
