I'm no big fan of the police. Most of them would put a boot on your neck for morally bankrupt reasons and shrug their shoulders with "just doing my job" when called on it.
But I have heard multiple times from people who are cops themselves or who are closely related to one. Cops, in general, treat black people with kid gloves. No one wants their life ruined by being the guy shown on the news as having shot a black guy even if any and all evidence shows it was justified. And I believe them because that is the logical and reasonable course of action to take on an individual level no matter how bad the consequences are on a societal level.
I don't have the exact statistics at hand, but this is why when you normalize deaths at the hands of law enforcement for race based violent crime rates, it turns out whites are more likely to be killed.
If the results are functionally indistinguishable from the means, then prove me wrong.

Double Dash is the GOAT Mario Kart for me. My brother and father and I would always play it together, and if we get together occasionally still do. I would agree that there has been virtually zero improvement in anything other than graphics in those games since that time, over 20 years ago. More courses and characters too, which isn't nothing I suppose. But the base things that are the most important core portions of the game havent really improved much.
