I believe they said something to the extent that a movie can't be "so bad it's good" if it's clear the creators weren't trying. Even if the badness is batshit insane there has to be a certain sincerity to it, otherwise it's unwatchable crap.

The useful idiots are much more useful when their minds are too crippled to even attempt to understand the other side.

Good luck finding a woman who isn't already soulless and dead-eyed.

They need conflict, they need to be oppressed, because if they can't say their entire society is rigged against them then they have no one to blame but themselves for totally failing at life.

The real question is, why the need to Mary Sue oneself into every hero story?

Because these people are narcissists who can't identify with or empathize with anyone who doesn't look and act just like them.

It's not his fault that he can't behave / society's made him go astray / perhaps if we're nice he'll go away...

Wouldn't that be funny, one of the largest websites in the world still getting fucked by a DDOS.

Exactly. This isn't anger, it's pointing and laughing. All the other side can do in response to derisive laughter is to shout "U MAD BRO?".

It's just that so many of Trump's appointees have turned out to be swamp creatures and stabbed him in the back. Why should she be any different?

That's what annoys me about people praising this story. They don't realize he didn't write it as This Is What The Left Wants To Do To The Country, he meant it as This Is What The Paranoid Right THINKS The Left Wants To Do To The Country, Ha Ha Ha Isn't It Ridiculous, And Incidentally Ayn Rand Can Fucking Blow Me.

Removal of Sec. 230 protections would mean they're wide open for lawsuits related to things published on their platforms. This is what the current, probably excessively broad interpretation of Sec. 230 is protecting them from -- the fact that they're so heavily curating what appears on their sites indicates they're stretching the definition of a platform.

As someone said on Twitter, one thing we have to make sure older, pre-Web people (especially politicians) understand is that "I got hacked" is the modern equivalent of "The dog ate my homework."

As said elsewhere, we're still suffering Rule 3 flashbacks -- halfKIA usually wouldn't let us touch certain subjects unless we could find somebody like Sophia or Ian talking about them.

These people are so retarded they couldn't see how sexually exploiting children in order to make a movie about how sexually exploiting children is bad might be a stupid, illogical idea.

Seems like the writer/director felt like they had to make this as absolutely reprehensible as possible in order to shock people in to seeing what is going on with children these days.

That doesn't excuse what they did to actual children in order to make this movie.

When Republicans fuck up, the fuckup is the story. When Democrats fuck up, the Republican response is the story.

That's how bad it is -- people who are almost literally trapped in their houses would still rather do anything than watch the NBA.

Not sure if this is grooming, but it's definitely shitty design. It seems clear to me that the company somehow got all the way through the process of manufacturing this thing without becoming aware of the possible implications.
