Last I checked (which was a while ago) Hasbro owned Wizards of the Coast, which does MtG.
Remember when TheQuartering exposed MtG for hiring sex offenders and pedos as judges, with no background checks so they gave him a lifetime ban for exposing them instead of cleaning house?
It's almost like pedos are attracted to jobs and companies that give them access to kids.
Yeah, if it was another company I would think it's a case of shitty design but knowing what happened with TheQuartering, I wouldn't dismiss it as just a case of the designers being stupid.
That was exactly my thought process.
Not sure if this is grooming, but it's definitely shitty design. It seems clear to me that the company somehow got all the way through the process of manufacturing this thing without becoming aware of the possible implications.

Oh, my, I have a full-body wolf puppet that ordinarily just looks like a normal stuffed toy moulded into a normal canine sitting position. Before legalization, I used to stash my stuff in his head. I call him "Junior". You stick your hand up his butt to make him "talk" (and he is fairly large.)

As for the troll, well, at least they fixed those ugly, uncanny valley faces they originally had. And this isn't exactly the first case of poor toy design out there, fail!blog and youtube have had lots of similar examples.
Tbh I think this is just shitty low quality design from a company trying to milk every penny. If they really wanted to push this shit they wouldn't have pulled the doll and called us anti-semetic instead.
