What ULTIMATELY pisses me off is that attitude that it's only right and normal to treat non-humans like shit!

"oh, they tweat us wike aminaws!" Well, maybe don't treat non-humans like shit, then, dumbfuck MONKEY!

Want a human origin story? Here's one for you:

One day a monkey took a shit. That shit then grew arms and legs and a big fat mouth, and declared itself King of the World and called itself "human". Then the shit replicated like bacteria, until the whole world was Shit. The end.

So, it's more like "be brainwashed, or never work at any kind of job that requires post-secondary education. Oh, and we now require even McDonald's janitors to have to get tickets that will also include these courses." So they go on welfare, get sent to the same courses. They commit a crime, they have to take the same courses in jail.

It kind of works out to the same thing in the long run.

I read that last panel in Bill Cipher's voice.

How very "1984". How very Soviet. How very ideologically totalitarian.

So rebellious kids skip these classes en masse .... next up, special re-education camps for them. Of course, they'll be presented like traditional wilderness camps/scouts/ROTC/Outward Bound ...

30 years ago, their stuff was pretty "based", actually. Good and bad everywhere, in everything. I kind of "dropped out of the scene" by 2001, though, but I saw the way things were going. No, the Children of Gaia are NOT a bunch of gay hippies, the Furies not a bunch of lezzies, or the Get a bunch of "closeted gays". (This was the direction some writers seemed to want to take things, anyway. BUT, the Apocalypse line was ended, and I just didn't like what I saw in the first few pages of Forsaken .. whereas Apocalypse grabbed me almost immediately.) Yeah, I used to be on the official mailing list, it was fun, and Ethan Skemp was a regular participant.

But yeah, the gay political crowd was making its inroads then, it just didn't look then like it does now, in 20/20 hindsight. The thing a lot of "casuals" don't understand about Garou culture, though, is this: They ARE supposed to be a dying breed, so this definitely affects their culture ... to the point that where no one is going to care if you're an homosexual having homosexual dalliances, BUT they would definitely frown on exclusive homosexuality (in other words, you would very likely be expected to "take one for the team" to attempt to make a new Garou - or at least Kin - especially if you're male, so, yeah, anyone STing a group with a gay character might want to keep this in mind - that as "progressive" as your Glass Walker sept might be, the lack of a new generation of recruits is going to create pressure ...)

I just .. always wanted to write that down somewhere.

And oh, I remember people thinking the Seventh Generation was "unrealistic" ...

If politics is Dad, religion was meant to be Mom.

Well, I guess humans have found their excuse in simple bad parenting.

And this silly twat .. err tweeter ... just wants his moooommmyyyyy!

Well, that's where taxonomic hair-splitting below species level comes in. Below that is race/subspecies, of course, and then below THAT comes in behavioural differences within a race (called "ethnicity" in humans, or tribes). A black American is definitely of a different ethnicity than someone from Nigeria (or Australia, for that matter) even though they might share a more recent common ancestor with each other than with any other groups of humans, and the black American might seem behaviourally "white" in the Nigerian's eyes.

Yeah, this happens in other species as well, but it's not talked about much. We just mostly get the kindergarten view of evolution, as being caused by "random changes" caused by "geological separation" (mountains and oceans) on the timescale of geology, rather than biology. But, as Darwin noted, intra-species competition is probably more important than any other kind of pressure exerted on a species (ie, its social condition puts more evolutionary pressure on a population than predators, disease, climate, etc.) A change in behaviour might turn some off, and attract some, within a population, and then, when the two different groups grow so big and can't stand living with one another any more, migration happens. Like a guy named Abraham taking his family and like-minded sky-god worhshipping monotheistic friends across the desert to get away from people who were polytheists. The problem comes when an animal has no more room to spread and for new populations to claim new territory ...

And do note that domestication experiments indicate that changes in behaviour patterns are often accompanied by changes in appearance (eye and hair colour, for instance.)

Mostly not lies, just things way too old. That was true in the past, but measures in the 80s and 90s made up for/corrected that, and it mostly had to do with equivalency of jobs, not differential pay for the same job a guy was doing in the same company (for instance, my mother worked for a hospital, and while this was going on, it resulted in the typists being reconsidered as equal to that of "janitor" (a typically male job) resulting in a pay raise for the (all female) typists. Yeah, men never used to type at all. Radar O'Rielly was actually kind of "stunning and brave" in his day, first time I'd ever seen a guy at a typewriter. Hey, they had female nurses ...)

And don't feel bad, I certainly got fed a lot of things too old when I was young, too, but didn't realize most of it was obsolete until it was too late (mostly because it was just in the process of changing under my feet!)

No, he needs to be inaugurated first, I think ....

But then, I don't think Americans have had a lame-duck-period assassination .... yet ...

2
PalaeolithicRaccoon 2 points ago +2 / -0

They do that after she steps up to the presidency after the assassination, and then her supporters can cry that resistance to getting rid of term limits while a black woman was in office is racist and sexist. Of course, they'd have the idea that they'll be able to prevent a white guy from ever getting into office again (which is what they actually thought under Obama, which is why they're still losing their nut over Trump. They were expecting to get their woman president, and it just totally blew their mind that it didn't happen like it "was supposed to.")

Never go full Tigerman, no matter your personal issues with the body you wound up in. Never.

And what the fuck is up with the parents for encouraging/allowing this?! He should be fucking suing them, or putting them up on charges.

Huh, nice leap in logic, there, Karens - they think that because the store made that cake as a custom order, that somehow the owners are racist and fire people because they're gay ....

So does that mean anyone willing to make a cake for a gay wedding fucks little kids up the ass? :P Same sort of stupid leap in logic ...

Oh, fuck. This is just how lame hollywood has become, they're the creative equivalent of the Hapsburgs.

There's absolutely no reason to remake that movie, except for see-through bullshit political reasons.

I bet South Park treated the mythos better. Cartman didn't go insane when he beheld Cthulhu because he's already there.

Who the fuck do niggers think they are, bears?

Maybe they SHOULD have been chased out of towns, and left to their own towns. Which they could all turn into Detroit, so there'd be no "they're just like us" bullshit.

("But Detroit is doing better now!" Me: checks who the mayor is, and sees that it's a white guy for the first time in 40 fucking years. Uh-huh. Also notices that the legacy of Hizzoner Coleman A. Young seems to have been memory-holed.)

Hard to believe there was next to no security in my own lifetime; I remember being brought into the cockpit as a kid on a trip to California in the 1970s. Was just watching "Telefon" the other day - people just bopping around the airport, with barely even a metal detector yet.

Fucking sand niggers and their fucking stupidstitions.
