if you close your eyes, relax, and let it happen, it won't hurt so bad

and this legislation would root the established tech companies. any internet Wild West would now be subject to purging by the US government.

The bill defines "foreign adversary controlled website" as something that can be regulated by the US government. this would give the US government the power to arbitrarily limit and censor almost any website if they claim it is connected to a foreign adversary.

Now think about how many items the US government have claimed have been Russian disinformation.

In effect, establishes a great firewall potentially identical to china.

tiktok is a wretched hive of scum and degeneracy. That doesn't mean we should allow the US to destroy our Internet.

essentially, it seems like the US government is using the tiktok ban as a way to shoe horn in legislation that allows the government to ban websites they deem in national security threat. with this legislation passed and properly enforced, this would build a great firewall around the United States.

this is already a fundamental right of every living thing. literally every creature has the ability and right to be a complete pussy-ass bitch and throw their life away, feds need not apply.

the fact that the feds are trying to codify this officially means they're probably going to start advertising it, Canada style.

Jesus that was a bad fight.

Looking at how things played out, it doesn't look like it was racially motivated. the white girl was being backed up by a black girl behind her, and the black girl who sent the white girl to the hospital was being backed up by another white girl behind her.

More likely, this was some kind of petty high School drama that escalated into a fight. both girls seem to be posting as if they were ready to fight, so it's not like this was an ambush. however, one girl decided it was worth using deadly force, which I doubt the other girl was prepared for.

the so-called "mob" actually appears to be two groups of students backing one of the two girls in the original fight. The whole thing seems to erupt into a brawl after the fight goes too far.

this is definitely an incident that goes beyond the school. the girl who smashed the other girls head against the pavement deserves a charge of attempted murder at minimum.

there are no bad tactics, only bad targets

3

the phrase implies a campaign of specific and unrelenting harassment, where people go out of their way to bully the target unreasonably.

Of course, the reality is that people learned that SBI exists and weren't happy about what they do. SBI keeps trying to do damage control, and people keep responding to their nonsense. it would have all just blown over until people posted them essentially pulling off a protection racket, and now all of a sudden they need the journalist class to run interference for them because they might actually face legal action.

technically, if we look at places like australia, locking down so hard that you completely shut down your country and prevent people from associating did in fact reduce the spread. that is until they declared Victory on the pandemic and opened up, where there was a massive Spike in infections all at once.

they fuck their people over, and all they did was delay the wave of infections that everyone else had.

has anything actually happened, or is it just a possibility?
