Yeah but Boeing isn't in any less trouble for having this guy dead, so it doesn't make any sense. I believe it will make sense when the right facts are put into place.
If the intent was to send a message and discourage further whistleblowers, it makes perfect sense.
If people believe that he was actually murdered. If you kill the d00d and then actually convince people that he committed suicide, the deterrent isn't there.
Murdering a dude and getting away with it is not very "new Boeing". They can't get people to put bolts on the doors, but they can orchestrate that. I dunno.
