On the bright side we'll have an easy way to see which Linux distros are compromised if this goes through. I bet the "digital natives" on the younger end of Gen Z are gonna regret being tech retards who grew up on iCrap. So many of them can't navigate a file system let alone install an OS that isn't spyware. The only ones that aren't screwed are the PC gamers.
On a related note: the German government is currently planning age requirements for social media and want to use a EU digital ID app that you'll have to use.
Leftists and globalists are losing power and they're getting aggressive about censoring the flow of information.
both the EU and the US will become China-like if these laws are passed AND enforced
a surveillance state fueled by social credit score where distrust in the turbo kiked govt will deny you basic services, jobs, or any recognition as a human being...
The 'irony' here is that a China-like OS will be the system used to bypass these restrictions and likely give access to the systems which are currently protected by a free flow of information.
All that's needed is an OS, and the legitimacy of being located somewhere that these rules don't apply.
Sure there's a bugbear in "buying" the legal copies of what is being used, but beyond that there's nothing stopping "Global" citizens being global citizens and retaining their local rights.
If I can be a trans-Latino penguin then what's stopping me from living on Ushakov Island (Should I wish)?
I'm actually going to defend this law, hear me out
As described in the tweet, this law requires a birthdate to be entered on OS setup. As I understand it, it does not require a face scan or government ID (yet). So long as this law requires just a simple birthday entry on setup, it is genius from a privacy perspective.
Imagine if adult content and social media platforms didn't have to ask for ID or age from the user, and could instead tap directly into the OS level birthdate. This feature completely undermines the argument for face scanning and digital id as a way to protect children.
but the kid can just lie about his age on setup
But its now a single point of entry that parents have a lot of control over. Parents can be responsible and set up the device before giving it to their kids.
but parents now have to dox their kids
Not necessarily. I feel a privacy respecting parent would use a birthdate either Jan 1st of the next year, or a random date after the kid's birthdate.
but the kid can just change the OS level birthdate
Firstly, if your kid is smart enough to do this, congrats. He is one of the few of his generation that is not a zombie. Secondly, Don't give your kids admin rights to their devices. This allows you to be in touch with the games they install, and every parent should be.
But now adults have to dox themselves
just use a fake birthdate
but adult content creators can just not use this feature and show porn to kids anyway
And this is the job for government agencies because.....?
Not to mention that government agencies are the biggest cause of child abuse out there. From handing over kids to unfit parents willingly (family courts are the prime example for that) to actually sex trafficking them to elites for blackmail (every intelligence agency is conducting Epstein businesses). So how about we kick off government far away from any tech so that they cannot fuck this up as well.
The only job of government agencies is enforcing laws, they have no business collecting data and, as described in the tweet, this law would not sanction any additional data collection by the government.
By making this feature law, providers can operate assuming devices have it. With that assumption in place, all arguments for digital ID as a way to protect children become moot.

No argument from me

no doubt they will rewrite it, There is no way they will renege on digital ID. I'm just pointing out how the law as precisely described in the tweet undermines the digital ID agenda.
My kids were always logged in as me when they were kids. It's how monitored their behavior. They tried to have youtube comment fights, but that doesn't work so well when the comment goes to your mommies email.
None of the fake safety ID rules work. We know this already.
Btw, those of us with a 1/1 already have enough problems.
Yeah but it was mostly the pre-boomer politicians of the 90s and 00s that were associated with "series of tubes" computer illiteracy. Not the boomer and gen x politicians of today, and definitely not millennials.

No, they just won't care. They post on social media with their real names and faces as if it's perfectly normal to do so and not insane.
Fedora will have it day 1, trust.

The GOP is in on this too. Its not just "leftists".
For "le children"
But of course, how else are they to find them to groom now that the island was shut down?
And that the school picture company is being actively rejected.
GOP establishment is leftist, they just play the controlled opposition role for the uniparty.
Once you open the door to that stuff, it never, ever ends.
People accepted it. Now they will have to live for it. Total tyranny.
Look at the Google Home or Siri voice-activation software.
You give the normies a little bit of novelty and they'll pay good money to voluntarily install glowie listening devices in their homes & pockets.
nobody accepted anything, it was forced on us.
Imagine having to punch in an age verification to get groomed by epstein.
I guess that's the hard cap then.
It's been a wild ride, but if this shit happens, I'm permanently an offline retro gamer.
There's more games made between 1980 and 2015 than I could ever play, and I'll fucking try and play them all anyway.
Preemptive condolences for when you get to the NES TMNT.

just use a fake birthdate
Then we know where the groomers are.
And its microsoft and linux job to control kids because...?
And then a federal judge will rule that this law can be jurisprudenced into meaning computer must enforce Live ID verrification.
You can already enable parental controls on basically every device. There is no excuse for this.
This is the best argument against this law
And this is the job for government agencies because.....?

Wha the fuck
Use an OS that won't bow to the glowies
So basically pirated windows XP?
Linux with this stripped out of it. Open Source allows you to remove any government requirement.
id to use a computer? i sleep
voter id? REAL SHIT
I can't believe we still have computer illiterate politicians in 2026.
It's often the same ones because they do this their entire lives. Career politicians never end up as a good thing.
