Legendary my ass - nothing but ports. If he was still a he this would get no mention at all.

But because he became a she along with his “wife” who also has a trumped up and embellished history on his wiki, we wouldn’t hear a peep.

Thank you. Everybody on gaming discords was suddenly going on about this person like they did when Akira Toriyama died and i was afraid to ask why this person so was important because I felt like “trans” said it all.

I’ve never heard of this person until today.

His wiki page is flowery and gilded and he even gets separately noted on the interplay wiki for… coding a port. While 2 of the other 3 cofounders don’t even get a mention.

It seems to me his only true notoriety is that he was big in the tranny field.

Heineman was blindsided last month by an aggressive cancer diagnosis.

Safe and effective!

There has been a huge increase in "died suddenlys" and turbo cancers being diagnosed since 2021. It's looking like if they miss the target tissue and get the clot shot into your bloodstream, you are fucked. Every booster is a game of Russian Roulette, and "winning" has its own health complications.

There are going to be a whole lot of hypochondriacs and lockdown totalitarians getting a heaping helping of Karma from it. If it wasn't for all of the innocents they convinced to go out with them, it would be worth celebrating.

Nothing will ever make me believe Lance Reddick died of "natural causes". He was as fit as you could be for his age and had always been slim/muscular in most of his on-screen roles. You don't die at 62 from heart failure as a multi-millionaire actor who only works 90 days a year unless something unnatural aggravated it. Someone like him should have comfortably lived into his 80s.

Lol multi millionaire actors typically have either drug or alcohol problems. Not saying the covid shots werent a factor, but just because someone "looks" healthy doesnt really tell you much about what is going on inside.

https://harborlondon.com/high-functioning-addiction-the-hidden-struggle-of-ultra-high-net-worth-individuals/

High-functioning addiction is a hidden and often overlooked phenomenon, particularly prevalent among ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) and high-profile executives. These individuals can excel in their professional lives, maintain powerful positions, and appear outwardly successful, all while quietly struggling with substance misuse. This complex dynamic between success and addiction is a growing concern, as those affected often use their accomplishments to mask the severity of their condition.

An illustrative example comes from the high-profile case of former Toronto Mayor, Rob Ford. When questioned about his alleged substance misuse, Ford famously argued, “If I’m an addict, I could not show up to work every single day,” reflecting a widespread misconception that productivity negates addiction (1). In reality, many high-functioning addicts maintain their jobs precisely because they understand how crucial their income is to sustain their habits1. As Dr. Steven Melemis, an addiction specialist, points out, “The job is always the last thing to go”1.

The shots were made dirty. They're polluted with circular DNA components from the E.Coli that was used to "grow" the vaccine. They tried to filter them. Some batches were relatively clean others were well beyond the FDA limits for DNA plasmid contamination.

It wasn't down to how you go the shot. It was down to which batch you just happened to get.

America is a giant laboratory. You are the rat.

I get that - but this dude was shot up with hormones and who knows what other chemicals.

I’m pretty sure that had more of an effect…

Hormones cause cancer. This is well known. In the appropriate body there are defense mechanisms. In the wrong body none of that works.

It's why "testosterone replacement" is relatively low risk but "testosterone gender therapy" is extremely risky.

Reminder to all women out there--get your prostates checked. Prostate cancer is no joke.

Burger "Becky" earned the nickname "Burger" because he bought a whole bunch of cheap burgers, kept them in his desk drawer, and would eat them over the course of several days.

Having said that, Heineman WAS a rockstar programmer. He was a very talented assembly programmer in an era when that mattered and was not easy. He wrote and programmed Bard's Tale III. He was a founder of interplay. Just because he was mentally ill does not mean that these truths are now false.

Sadly, he was at ground zero for gay autistic males pretending to be women. He lived with another gay man, "Jennell Jaquays," who also died recently and who was very involved in early tabletop.

RIP Burger.

Side note, I remember you had posted on D&D before, and I looked back and saw the comment I remembered (D&D being a lifestyle, critical role, etc.)

Couldn't agree more.

I played some some AD&D/D&D in middle and highschool. I was always more of a video gamer, but my friend group had some really devoted roleplayers. Our group was a bunch of nerdy guys, and 1-2 nerdy girls, who read the manuals, read the novels, loved the rules, and loved geeking out about arcane knowledge of the systems and world.

My middle school kid today joined a D&D club after school. There are maybe 35-40 kids in the club, aged between 7th grade and 12 grade. I watched them play one day.

None of them know the rules. They make SOME appearance of rolling dice, etc., but it's basically all just free style ruleless roleplaying. None of the DMs had maps (our DMs always had elaborate maps on graph paper, floorplans of towers, etc.) or plans, they just winged it.

One time a kid was rolling a D20 to see if he could make an arrow show. He rolled a 7 and the DM said that was such a bad failure that the arrow ricocheted 3 times and it hit the archer in the eye. Nobody batted an eye. A few minutes later someone else tried, rolled an 11 and got a bullseye. The kids just accepted all this as part of the way D&D works.

It's interesting how much the hobby has changed...

No kidding - I used to get beaten up for doing things like playing D&D and watching Star Trek.

It's depressing. My kids' HS has a D&D club too. Neither of my kids are involved right now due to schedules, but I did manage to reach out to Black Blade and they donated THIRTY FIVE POUNDS of OSRIC books, as well as a box full of Castles & Crusades books from Troll Lord. This in addition to the 50 or so books I donated from my personal collection. WotC donated a grand total of one starter box, 6 months after the request was made.

I'm trying. I'd like to spend a little of my time running a high quality classic style game for them, but right now I absolutely can't fit it in. Hopefully the kids are intrigued by the older materials and rebel against Modern D&D. Right now it seems like their biggest problem is getting kids to run games, since it can be overwhelming for a first timer, especially for kids that have bad expectations set by things like CR.

From the article, a Bluesky post. An excellent example of how degenerates groom and promote grooming:

‪Aura/Moom‬ ‪@moomanibe.bsky.social‬ · 20h in the early 2000s Rebecca took the time to chat over IRC with a teenaged and gender-confused Me on the practicalities of transition - in a time where being out as trans online was something that could get you socially ostracized. I owe her a lot for that and only hope I can pay it forward.

I'll bet the anecdote about him overcoming a "deranged businessman" was more than a bit self-serving DARVO. The developer's side of the story would likely be interesting to hear.

Also, it was much easier to win national championships when almost nobody competed in them and there was no money as a motivator.

He posted a video of it up on YouTube (the link is in the article) basically it’s an overly long rant of a typical game programmer story. He setup a freelance company to do game ports. Customer hired him to do a doom port to 3do for Christmas in July as another team is about 80% done but won’t be able to finish for Christmas. He agrees. Customer never sends the team’s work over. He ported doom to the jaguar so he uses that port and just finishes on time.

The whole “deranged” part is that the customer never sent the work over and that at the end the customer didn’t like the port and was recording their phone calls to try to entrap him into saying he has agreed to certain features that he claims he never agreed to so the customer could sue him.

Aka - drama queen

Unlike others, I had heard of him and while most of the work is ports, ports can be a lot of work. I heard the story of the 3DO port of Doom and how little support and time he was given still turned out a halfway decent port (it was the worst Doom port, but the story is still fun)

At the time (this was years ago) I found it a bit out of the ordinary that this famous, old-school programmer was a woman. Didn't look into any further, but it did stick out as an anomaly.

Now, the story makes sense. Autistic white man.

Exactly. Autistic white men make the best (women) programmers.

No argument that ports are hard work and I’m sure he was a rockstar coder.

My point is - they ALL were but you’re not gonna hear THEIR stories because they didnt feel the need to take hormones.
