Buying blu-rays and physical books is actually one of the great causes of the 21st century. Not even joking. Also obtaining digital files for your own collections.
I was about to say something about Goldeneye without looking at the link. Then I pulled it up before I was about to post. Goddammit, it's exactly what I thought. And it looks fucking ridiculous. Pierce Brosnan holding a gun upward like that was pretty much my classic Bond.
Even ignoring how classic and defining the image of him with the gun is, its just such a shit shop job that it makes him look extremely awkward holding his hand up like that holding nothing.
It actively makes him look like the worst Bond, despite being probably the most central to what people think Bond looks like across all incarnations.
Even beyond the censorship, they all look like fags posing for a glamour magazine now. Is that why I want to watch GoldenEye, to see Pierce Bronson smolderingly contemplate what he's having for dinner?
I’m sure the five people in the world who never heard of James Bond and would have NOT watched these movies because they showed guns on the posters but WON’T be upset the movies have guns in them will be pleasantly surprised.
So just a few days ago they were crying about free speech and censorship, and now they are censoring and denying the creator's vision.

The political right needs to take back libraries and museums.

Amazon has a habit of doing this. They'll routinely acquire exidting shows for Prime and remove key episodes because of vague things like "terrorism"
They look like substitute teachers.
The idea is less believable than Roger Moore's elbows reaching all the way to his hips.
Totally deranged.

He's more likely to contemplate what his wife is having for dinner.
Oh thank God. Now I know I'm safe from political violence now that Amazon has disarmed a heroic figure that kills people to try to destroy the world.
Like when they removed the guns from ET? 😃
I looked on Prime and they have completely different posters for some of them, although other sites also reported the awkwardly altered ones.
As bad as that is, it's different in that the director was behind the change.
All the 007 logos have a gun in the 7.

Someone on the other thread said it best :
They might as well go all out and replace them with dildos if they're going to do this.
They want a PP not a PP9
At least it's not a Smith and Wesson that will jam.
"Okay? So what? It's a private company removing one thing from a poster. That's a company making a decision on its own that doesn't change anything substantial about a movie. That you're upset about this just shows how pathetic you actually are."
They never stop.
