I saw 85% of it then turned it off. It’s just low level comedy slop. Same South Park formula from the last 20 years; tired degenerate liberal nonsense.
They try to pull you in with nostalgia for ‘classic South Park’ antics but I’ve grown beyond it so I have no nostalgia for obvious trash.
I like SP so I'll end up watching it down the road, but the most disappointing thing to me is that they never had a single thing to say about a child-sniffing, stair-falling Biden in his years. They took shots at Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump, skipped Biden and are taking shots at Trump again. Hacks. Spread it around equally.
Last time they showed Hillary she was played 100% straight (both in appearance and personality) so they could make their Trump Garrison look that much stranger. It was right before Trump beat Hillary in 2016 so they were essentially sniffing her throne
This episode somehow got rated 9.6 - basically the Shawshank redemption treatment - and I have no idea why,
Seriously? After all these years, you still don't know why the Hollywood reviewers love-bombed something that appealed to their political sensibilities?
Here is an interesting take on why they went so over the top. Basically, Trey Parker and Matt Stone are pissed at Paramount and are ragebaiting Trump to sue it again or to block its merger with Skydance. Paramount recently paid Trump $16 million in a defamation settlement and this might add some zeros to that number.
current politics/trends is really retarded for these kinda shows. its why simpsons got dumb as well.. people only remember the timeless episodes. like you can watch some old stuff now and you wouldn't really know it was made +20 years ago aside from subtle clues like tech wise (a tube TV or flip phone), but most of the time when you watch these, you dont even look for things like that.
People who genuinely enjoy South Park usually award points to Matt and Trey just for insulting a celebrity, especially if it's a politician. It doesn't have to actually be funny.
South Park was always shock jock humor so they always picked the most absurd position. We live in absurd times so the shock jock behaviour is being a well adjusted adult, but that's kind of Kyle's and Stan's thing to always be the straight men in any situation.
No surprise there Cartman was always the most funny OG character First 9 Seasons of South Park was comedy cartoon Gold but they got a lil stale after that and got worse
Thank you for your service.

I honestly stopped watching southpark about the time of pc principal. Just couldn’t get the humour anymore. So i really dgaf about the trump episode
If you missed the Randy Savage tranny athlete ep you need to find that, it's amazing.

They did? All I remember is that shitty heist plot with Hillary and McCain.
And all their ribs at Clinton, Bush, and Obama were very softballed, gentle even.

Wasn't it supposed to include something about the Epstein shit?
There is one joke about it.

Do I have to remind you that they wanted to lynch a reviewer who stopped Black Panther from getting a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes?
Hey man, Shawshank Redemption was hilarious.
I think they were implying that Colbert was cancelled for being anti-trump instead of nobody caring to watch his show.
But yeah, the episode was shit. Like I've said before, the writers lost touch at least since 2016. They don't know what they're doing anymore.

You're 3 days late for that.

I didn’t watch it and I could have told you the same thing.

I think this is their version of Tom Green and freddy got fingered.
Yeah if they keep that up they become as relevant as the Simpsons. Especially with how they ignored Biden the last 4 years.
