It's nice to see that the comments to the article aren't having it. The "profession" of gaming journalism (if not journalism in general) has no clothes, and the children are all laughing at their micro-dicks.
When I'm bored, I'll open the Google news thing on my phone. A lot of articles, not just gaming are "I read a Reddit post, and these were the comments". "Journalists" will get them from Gaming, AITAH, and other subs
Propagandists who worked for years to undermine game journalism credibility are mad they get no credibility once they wormed their way into game journalism. More at 11
I barely trusted them when they were in magazines that I willingly paid for with my own money. Which meant it came from an organization that was making things I was willing to buy and thereby had some quality to it (usually walkthroughs for games I had like Brave Fencer Mushashi).
Now I know these companies don't have a damn thing worth paying for, the IGN walkthroughs are barely passable and only get used because they top every search engine, so why would their words mean anything?
That's without even getting into the political angle.
Unfortunately that is a lost art. For any game prior to 2010, absolutely. But anything more modern is going to be either hosted across 90 pages on someone's website, a video, or some other nonsense.
I'll concede that the only point the guy has is that because of the landscape, they have to rush through a game, enjoy none of it, make a quick post about it, and move on to the next game since there's not enough time to really put in the work like there used to be to make a better quality post about [game] since there's thousands released daily now and they have to do too many at once.
But that's indicative of the corporate landscape going to shit. I can't fix what I didn't fuck up in the first place.
On the flip side of this, people who do it for free, without corporate shackles and time constraints are actually doing it better, the way it used to be. At least until they get bought.
I trust individuals, not titles, especially titles which are basically interchangeable with "Journalism Drop Out".
Let’s ignore the fact that games journalists regularly beat entire games in a far shorter timespan than regular people who don’t have deadlines to meet.
This is pretty much exactly why people hate games journalists. They just try and rush through games as fast as humanly possible, as though seeing the credits means you've actually experienced the game. Would you trust a movie reviewer who watched all their movies at maximum speed to save time? How about a travel writer who just drove past all the tourist spots? No? Then maybe you can understand how gamers feel about hacks like this.
No, they've just been that retarded all along and are now that desperate while their industry burns down through their own actions and more and more normies notice. Can't blame it on Gamergate anymore and get away with it.
I'd rather trust a hippo not kill me if I walk by it's swimming hole.
Hippo is probably healthier.
At least he won't bother you with body types.

Except “Will” who’s the sock puppet account of the author.
To do what? Review games? 😂
No, read Reddit, and then turn Reddit threads into articles
By "read Reddit" you mean exchange CP with all the other troons on that site.

Pissing directly into the wind lol
Industrial grade wind tunnel at this point.
No.
Chad no.
They literally can't be trusted to even tell me if they're a man or a woman.
It's time to stop using titles that start with "it's time to".
oh but I do trust them. them shitting on a game is a reliable sign that the game is good.
When they start outperforming a pigeon and prove they can use both analog sticks at once I'll start considering it.

Only walkthroughs I trust are written in .rtf and have at least one piece of ascii art.

Video games 'journalism' can't die fast enough
I trust my fever hallucinations and prozac dreams more than those "reviews"
Source?

Basically the opposite of the posted title.
It's time to trust the devil.

nah
Sure. And Concord is a good 7/10 game.
I would rather trust the crazy homeless guy on the corner.
The only thing I can trust game journalists to do is indulge in their pedophiliac urges.
😆😂🤣
No archive huh?
Isn't this a satire site?
