there is an intelligent reason to quote a text or philosophy that you don't subscribe to yourself. It's to accuse your opponent of breaking their stated philosophy, essentially calling them a hypocrite.

See, with Democrat policies, there's a lag so that the beneficial things they provide happen during Republican administrations and the bad things that happen during their own administrations are a result of the similar lag from the previous Republican administration's bad policies. But, paradoxically and simultaneously, Republican policies are immediate and absolute, so anything bad that happens during their administrations is entirely their fault.

Have the prices of these goods actually want down a significant amount? Just curiously asking any Americans.
For me it's come down about 1.50 (6.50 to 5.00) in the past month, and my overall grocery bill by about 10%.
To go to a store and see prices cheaper than before, that's a miracle.
They haven't gone down at all in my area. The price for a half-dozen eggs went up to $3.50 at the lowest a few weeks ago, and has yet to decrease.
I'm pressing X to doubt on those egg prices based on the price sticker on the shelf this week.
