To head things off at the pass: Andrew Tate is a controversial figure. Some people love him, some people hate him, and that's fine. I'm not here to make a judgement either way, I just think this news is interesting.

It is rather annoying to see one of the "based" states being bitchy and virtue signaling. It's just mealy-mouthed and absolutely pathetic. This is some basic bitch bullshit.

Here's Ron DeSantis's initial statement, and Tate's response. I think this was slightly pre-investigation. Ron was pathetic.

I am deeply disappointed by Ron DeSantis with regards to this shit. As everyone probably knows, I was a pretty big supporter of RDS in the 2024 GOP primaries. RDS is literally engaging in lawfare against the Tates because he hates what they said on various topics such as feminism and Israel.

I am not even a fan of the Tates and I think this style of fishing for a crime is a travesty.

I will admit that I made a mistake going all in for RDS

As flawed as Trump is, he is not doing this type of stupid shit

People do stupid shit all the time. Politicians (and businessmen who barge into politics out of necessity) are no different. This isn't something to start throwing up mea culpas over.

As Bongino always says, every political figure is a collection of pluses on some issues and minuses on other issues. DeSantis still has a pretty solid series of pluses with some dumb minuses.

If you recall, I was one of the people most strongly disagreeing with you.

But hindsight is 20/20. With the knowledge you had, it was a perfectly respectable position - and popular here until the indictments.

Ofc hindsight is 20/20 but I am willing to accept that I had developed a bad case of TDS during the primaries over my anger at Trump's mishandling of COVID and Operation Warpspeed

I was finally able to move past my TDS and I ended up voting for Trump in the Texas GOP primary when it was him versus Haley and also voted for Trump in the general election against Harris

I realize now that as flawed as Trump is, DeSantis quite possibly has more egregious major weaknesses.

I'd rather he just fuck off. I'm tired of hearing about Tate. The problem is the media has made talking about Tate such a headache that you always have to do this "well there's this narrative versus that narrative" shit before you can get ANY kind of discussion done.

Every time there's news about Tate I become more convinced that he's a feminist psyop that backfired. They were trying to use him to discredit the manophere but he blew up because they didn't have the credibility to manage the takedown. I think the reason it's so messy is because they still haven't regained control of the situation despite their desperate attempts to do so. I'd say the Florida indictments are just another attempt to bury this.

Do you mean his promotion? Pied piper style, like they did with Trump? Because if Tate was in on it, it would be fucking easy. Imagine the demoralization toward his fanbase if he did an about-face and started shilling for women or something.

▲ 3 ▼
– TheOutlaw 3 points 1 year ago +3 / -0

I'm not necessarily saying he was in on it. Either way the feminists had the institutional power to shut him down before he ever became a thing, and the fact that they didn't suggests that they found him useful somehow. My theory is they were trying to discredit the manosphere and the red pill in particular, but that's a bit more speculative on my part.

It's interesting that you bring up Trump because the comparison crossed my mind as well. The main difference is that taking down Tate would have been trivial for them had they decided to do it immediately. Not so much with Trump, as their various attempts have shown.

Eh. They have the impression of power. There really is some truth to the whole 'the only one who can cancel you is you' idea. It's not 100%, and they can get their scalps, but generally their victims are at least slightly willing participants. Tate got deplatformed everywhere. They tried to get him. And it just made him stronger, because he didn't cuck.

My theory is they were trying to discredit the manosphere and the red pill in particular

A possibility, yeah. Don't know enough about him to say either way, personally.

Tate was a legitimate wealthy figure with a very small term following. That happened organically. He was already sniffing his own farts and talking like he is king shit then too.

Him becoming a household name is absolutely a psyop they were using to create a new boogeyman to scare people into pulling away the only people stupid enough to fall for him (12-24 year old boys with no prospects, the exact type of simp Tate built an empire exploiting with camgirls).

I don't think it really backfired, because he still is pretty irrelevant with only the smallest of non-ironic followers. They just keep talking about him because he makes good clickbait and that makes him seem way bigger than he is.

Yup. Not a fan of that bullshit. I don't care even people were to get the impression I like Tate, but if you don't put the disclaimer a few people are probably getting triggered and downvoting, which buries the discussion.

"I'm not a Trump supporter, but..." all over again.

Well, in this case I'm not a Tate supporter, but yeah. And, thankfully, I was a pretty early Trump adopter, so I only had to disavow a few times, back in '15 when I honestly wasn't sure yet. As soon as I was for Trump, I said as much openly. Lost friends and even family relationships over it, too. Which is pathetic, from them, but there we are. And don't get me started on the women using women-tactics about how dang Bad Orange Man was. Gimme a break. Make an actual argument. Too much to ask for, I know.

I will say, to Tate's credit (who I wasn't very familiar with until this interview), he puts on a good show. Not sure if it's an act or not, but he plays a great "confident," and asserts his viewpoint with clarity. There's no wishy-washiness. I do appreciate that, and it's something we need more of.

I have some information that might change your mind. Did you know that he is a twice-impeached convicted felon?

Lost friends and even family relationships over it, too

The European mind cannot comprehend this. Gotta respect Americans for having the stamina to be around such worthless spergs.

And don't get me started on the women using women-tactics about how dang Bad Orange Man was.

I don't need one. I was seeing Tate's shit before he blew up and it was just people mocking him. Then all of sudden he just becomes this massive figure that's supposed to be on the right and part of the red pill. Then he converts to Islam and starts a wave of conversions with other "alpha" influencers. Just being muslim alone should disqualify him but he also had astounding retarded takes with a few common sense ones every now and then. He is Jordan Peterson of the red pill except Peterson started off reasonable and Tate has always been mostly retarded and every now and then reasonable

I'm not sure how 100% of the Very Online Right got convinced that he's 100% innocent.

I'll trust the Romanian Injustice system as far as I can throw it, but just based on what we do know, he is an unsavory character. Doesn't mean he should be prosecuted for stuff he didn't do (if that is the case) or that he should be targeted (if he is).

I don't think a criminal investigation is warranted. At least give him some time to do some crime? This feels more like persecution. I don't watch his stuff, don't follow, so maybe he's a monster, but seems going too far for DeSantis. Who is he trying to impress? Does this resonate with FL voters? I bet 99% don't know who the fuck Tate is either.

Technically as a US citizen abroad he's still supposed to fill in tax returns and pay taxes on income over $100,000 per year. (Edit - Whoops, it's up to $130,000 this year)

Given typical state of the finances of camgirls and their pimps, I suppose there's a pretty good chance he's already commited a crime before he even turned up back in the USA.

So.. like... how many ILLEGALS has Uthmeier gone after for criminal activity?

Sure, he's CHARGED with all sorts of things but he's not CONVICTED and his trial date is still in the future. Has this, so-called, attorney at law forgotten the American edict of innocent until proven guilty?

If he's trafficked/raped women in Florida, fine, go after him, but I seriously doubt he has.

This whole "We don't serve your kind here" in government is really getting tiresome. If I have to accept drag queens, trannies and furries, then THEY have to accept speech and ideologies they don't like either!

That's what a CIVILIZATION OF FREE PEOPLES is all about, Charlie Brown.

You wanted God and Jesus out of government, FINE... but you don't get to impose YOUR replacement morality on me!

Oh holy shit, what dysgenics is this?!

Sure seems that way, yeah.

If I have to accept drag queens, trannies and furries, then THEY have to accept speech and ideologies they don't like either!

Yeah, exactly. Not even a fan (not a hater either) of Tate, but he's an American and, as far as I know, hasn't even been charged with a crime in the US, much less Florida.

As conservatives also worship feminism just like the left, it is unsurprising that they would simp for women against anyone exposing toxic feminism.

Tate only has money because he used women to prey on broken, lonely men. The actual victims of feminism were his marks and he built himself upon their pathetic simping.

He isn't any better than the feminists, he'd be literally nothing if feminism hadn't given him infinite dumb sluts to use as bait.

Does anyone think Tate is guilty of some kind of crime? He's on camera admitting to defrauding needy men out of their life savings on Onlyfans, which is straight up evil, but I guess that's not actually criminal.

They're trying to make hay out of Tristan Tate supposedly snogging an underage girl, but these "wow she was only 17 you sick bastard" stories have never really hurt their targets.

I'm honestly not familiar enough with things to know. Like you said, there's plenty pointing toward him not being a great person, but that's about it. Everything else seems like smears.

And I was just talking to someone today, pointing out that he's one of those people you're simply not allowed to support, like Trump, or Alex Jones.

My take? Tate's not a good dude. But most of that other shit is smears by people who hate him, hate us, hate Trump, hate conservatives, hate Americans, all that jazz. Doesn't make him good, but does mean it seems sensible to take a lot of the smears with a grain of salt.
