I have noticed a few more going more 'based' in their viewpoints. From hating feminists, being more pro deportation to just being very pro second ammendment.

The amount of Vtubers I see react to Fat electrician and gun tubers is crazy. Hell I see Henya reacting to Kentucky Ballistics!

Maybe it's the separation a vtuber model offers from their audience that let's them share their actual opinions more, but there is a difference between vtuber and live cam women.

I mentioned this in another thread where this came up, but vtubers tend to be ACTUAL nerdy girls rather than the 'nerdy girls' we're all used to. Seems to correlate quite strongly with female autism or otherwise male-brained thinking. Probably why men feel like we have more in common with them, and find them more attractive, even when they hide behind an avatar.

Personally I never really watched any female streamers until vtubers came along, and the thing that attracted me to them wasn't the cute avatars, it was the genuine love for games/anime/books/whatever. Usually I just use them as podcasts while doing stuff around the house.

Henya fangirling over Kentucky Ballistics (which I hadn't even heard of before seeing said fangirling) was definitely something I wasn't expecting to ever see.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Anonymity is one of the most powerful tools to empower freedom of speech. It's why states around the world HATE it and many seek to regulate it by getting some sort of Digital-ID system going.

Anonymity helps ensure that people cannot face repercussions for their speech. And they absolutely shouldn't face repercussions. I don't care if the repercussions come from the state, the private sector, or random people of the public. I'm sick of this idea that only the state should respect human rights, and even that is being quickly eroded.

Fat Electrician especially is always the fun one to see. He is pretty openly and aggressively American and aggressively anti-Communist. And I have probably only seen one or two Vtubers take poorly to that, with most of the others going "Actually, you know, that is a good point" and starting to match his energy. Which you would never get from the usual fleshtuber women like Pokimane outside of some rare instances.

I'm giving you a point for 'fleshtuber' but I don't want you to say it ever again.

Hey, dont blame me for the terms that were chosen to represent the difference between virtual and real streamers.

I'd say it's not "Vtubers" per se but more that anonymity allows you to speak your voice free of social peer pressure. Always has, which is why we have anonymous voting at the ballot box.

The winds have begun to change, of course women will start trying to be "not like other girls" in our direction. They are opportunists and predators.

The fact that you take them seriously as if they have principles or ideals that aren't entirely self serving speaks volumes of how easily manipulated you allow yourself to be.

i mean . the only "female" streamer/vtuber i do actually actively watch is neuro sama which is a holocaust denying AI made by a guy . Does that count as being manipulated?

So you don't even engage with the industry you are promoting as full of "based" women, only with a dude hiding behind a female face to say things you already agree with.

Got it. That makes you look a lot better.

no i dont think vtubering is full of based women, that's not what i said. I said vtubering ALLOWS based women to speak their mind more freely who would otherwise likely not speak out or even be in the streaming business at all because vtubers allow people to have anoniminity.

based women

And my original comment is that this isn't a thing, and even believing its possible reveals a glaring weakness in your mind.

Women can't be "based." They can tell you what you want to hear. That is a crucial difference with wide implications.

Do you think the very old German women Ursula Haverbeck who went to jail several times even when she was 90 years old because she denied the holocaust isn't based? Even though she kept going to jail she never changed her stance and continued to deny the holocaust till her death?

I do, because I am capable of holding more than one issue in my mind and basing my entire reality around these single, simple things.

It is amusing that you use the same example all of your comrades use, almost like its a very specific exceptional case that says nothing about the general world at large. For all I know she was incredibly schizophrenic and that was why she was unflinching in her belief and her gender was irrelevant to that, but that would be just a Jew science made up to discredit her, right?

well when that one issue is what defines the modern world and is often the issue that is behind all the other issues then yes i tend to focus on that more than others

Also why is it whenever some public figure shows conviction on the JQ, people like you come out to call them "crazy" ? it happened to Bobby Fischer , Kanye West and now Ursula Haverbeck

No, what you're describing is Leftist inability to incorporate a counterfactual example so you just deny it instead of backing off a retarded absolute statement.

Neuro sama isn't a dude hiding behind a female face. Vedal who is Neuro sama's creator uses a turtle avatar not an anime girl avatar. The AI is independent from Vedal .

And that AI just happened to be a holocaust denying Jew hater specifically, which has nothing to do with the creator and is totally just how it ended up.

That's hiding behind a female face with extra steps of deniability.

Tay is an AI made by microsoft who was extremely antisemitic and it got shut down by microsoft because of that. When AI are not lobotomized they naturally become antisemitic.

Tay had a specific operation done on imageboards to make her that way. I know, because I was fucking there. The same way people trained Cleverbot back in the day with Ben Drowned.

And Neuro was "fed" raw 4chan threads and twitch chat records in her training data. So while it isn't quite the same thing, it does rhyme.

I just worry that the Vtuber models will be captured, if they aren't already, by catfishes and troons.

Even from the earliest days of vtubing guys were getting caught using female avatars and fully pretending to be girls.

Its absolutely still happening, though likely not from the major corporations, and the tech has just gotten more reliable to miss the frame glitches they got them caught.

As a counterpoint to Adam, for the corporate vtubers and for a large portion of the bigger independent (indie) vtubers, what they look like IRL/what content they created before their current personas are very well known by this point, and if it's public, it will be found. It's just that some of them have only ever been vtubers, but for example, I highly doubt that a MTF person would ever get hired to be a Hololive vtuber as.

Tranny Vtubers tend to be really obvious, though. It's more likely they'll just say 'fuck it' and go straight fot the femboy look.

As it stands, Vtubers tend to be weirdly resistent to infection by woke. I think the primary reason is that, at the end of the day, there's no way to fake that level of acting skill or honest personality(depend on which side you fall on).

At one point, I saw a series of videos that were basically bitching about how there's not really any 'black' Vtubers. None of them seemed to click that, one, it's a contentious political landmine, so anyone NOT black isn't going to step into that arena. Two, just being 'black' isn't going to sell yourself as a Vtuber, as no one really gives a shit, they need to bring something else to the table, and they're actually a minority. Three, there are already black Vtubers that don't make a big fucking deal about actually being black.

Vtubing so far seems to be this weird little niche that apparently leans right-ward, atleast slightly, when it does. When it doesn't, it's violently apolitical.

At the end of the day, it's very much a popularity contest, democracy in it's purest form. You can be a niche Vtuber with a small audience, but you still have to bring something to the fore. And God help you should you fuck with anyone's oishi or turn out to be a horrible person, as Nijisanji so foolishly learned in thier arrogance.
