Sounds expensive. Just get a cargo plane to fly at low altitude near the Mexican coast and open its hatch to drop them there with a few life boats. A bit of rubber and a few paddles is far cheaper than all of the metal that would have to be used to construct proper drop pods.
I'm looking to upgrade it to that ep 2 of Astardes level so we can 'tactically deploy' marines deep into fortified buildings in seconds so the can immediately neutralise high value targets.
