Once an influential figure in big Japanese companies become westaboo, the internal structure of the companies almost always end up subverted and get infiltrated by the marxists. Sad I was curious about the rumour of them remaking FF9 but if this news today isn't a big red flag of them doubling down then, I guess I shall ignore their products like I have been doing.
FFXIV has been slowly warping into a tranny paradise for a while, all but officially. They've been gradually removing gender-locks on clothing and outfits, so now men can wear maid dresses, wedding gowns, and bikinis and force you to look at them as you play.
Meanwhile, class- and role-locked armor is still important enough to keep rigidly in place, even though there are all sorts of class-irrelevant costumes that anyone can wear, such as the maid outfit. Is that a Warrior or Mage in that dress? Who knows, but at least it doesn't matter if it's a man or woman!
Have you noticed that gaming has always been toxic and has had a toxicity problem and it's been there forever and ever, even though no one flung around phrases like toxicity problem until absolutely vile toxic people began infiltrating the hobby?

Call square enix by phone and tell the customer service representative that you have feedback regarding this policy. Go down the list of banned acts one by one violating them over the phone with hilariously un-prosecutable phrasings (i.e. "no intimidation, duress"... "sir I am big and strong and therefore you must ungay the game")
Square has been a shit company for at least 20 years or more, but like a helpless slave, I still gave them money to see FF14's Hydelyn arc to its conclusion in Endwalker. Endwalker was, in hindsight, a pretty great expansion and I enjoyed myself quite a bit through the whole 14 experience.
Then Yoshida went to FF16, saying he wanted it to be grimdark and mature (two things FF has never been). Then he said he wanted to ape Game of Thrones for fuck's sake. Then he added fags to the story. By the time Dawntrail was announced, it was easy to see the writing on the wall for 14, but I went ahead and bought it anyway. Probably the worst $80 purchase I ever made in my life, because I thought, "surely they won't intentionally fuck up their cash cow, right?"
Dawntrail is horrendous even beyond the EN tranny. He's bad enough, but the overall quality of the story (ie, the only real reason to get invested in 14 aside from sweaty raid content) is so shit that it's actually laughable. The worldbuilding is childish nonsense. Literally everything that made the Heavensward/Shadowbringers/Endwalker good was subverted by incompetence with no signs of recovery.
14 is dead and shit like this afflicting the management is what's killing it. Square itself is a walking corpse. It won't be much longer now.
