If this is a real character from KCD2, then Daniel Vavra is a deceptive piece of shit and I will not buy this game or any other game he makes. (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

A single unaffiliated screenshot of a generic character saying a couple lines so fucking specifically meant to outrage us through exact phrases and buzzwords that don't really flow well or feel written for in-game conversation is far too good to be true.

This feels like believing random AITA posts on reddit that get crossposted to gender war subs. Its always too good to be true.

If it turns out to be real, I won't be shocked, but you need more proof than that to start a cancel mob, nigga.

The "also btw we respect wahmen" is what really gives the ruse away.

Dialogue-wise it is suspiciously on-the-nose, but I’m not sure that the character itself is faked. That’s my concern. I’m just pointing IF this character or another character appears that wouldn’t make sense for the time period, then I won’t buy the game.

Honestly it doesn't seem to even sync up with the style of Kingdom Come art design.

I don't know KCD well enough to say one way or another personally, but if the post title said "screenshot from new Asscreed" I'd not be able to say it isn't. Because its a generic "modern graphics" NPC without anything tying it to any game.

Not even a character name, which sticks out even more because almost no game forgoes accessibility options of not having "who is speaking" attached to subtitles.

If this was 10 years ago i's say "yeah its probably BS" but in 2025 i firmly believe its legit

To give an example, 2 months before the release of dragon ball sparking zero young trunks had an ebonics like when matched with Z (end) Vegeta

Something along the lines of "if you can punch in the face i'll take you to that amusement park you were always raving on about"

And Trunks english dialogue was "No cap? Lets go" in the most niggerish VO they could find

At first i couldn't believe it, i thought it was a shitpost

But then the game released and that line of dialogue is Really there!

My point isn't that its impossible to believe, its that the proof presented is insufficient to do so.

To use your example, it had Trunks and Vegeta, two characters we know are in the game, having a direct interaction that makes sense*, meaning it feels like a game script instead of a collection of buzzwords, within the noticeable graphic style of the game they are in, linking it to that specific game.

This has a random black guy with no name, in a generic style with no details, saying a clumsy line that hardly feels like it would pass Voice Acting that we are just being told is from the game.

It could be what it says it is completely, but its not strong enough on its own to just believe it.

*Also while I get why people hate it, that line is 120% fitting with Kid Trunks both in how he talks and his insufferable personality. If he was written now instead of in the 80s he would say shit like "no cap fr fr" and it feels out of place because he hasn't aged in 40 years of the IP existing.

What's to not believe? That Warhorse studios got hit with a diversity quota?

At first i thought they'd just stick to European diversity but after the leak it seems like they HAD to cram a nigger where he doesn't belong

There are also quite suspicious quests at the early game, one involves diving in shit to rescue a dude

And the other involves cuckolding and the need to protect a polish fellow from an angry lynch mob because he slept with one of the farmers wife

Though thankfully the game lets you have options to fail both quests and proceed regardless as you wish, its direction is definitely taken to a lot more woke caliber

Again it could be just a few quests and the rest of the game is unpozzed, but its best to wait and see

Regardless its probably the least anti-White game on the market

Yup, those quests were obviously thought by a very (((degenerated))) mind

Thankfully you can always refuse/fail them because KCD quest design is open-ended

What's to not believe?

Anything that confirms to my bias without sufficient proof, especially in an attempt to motivate me to action.

This isn't saying "this is impossible to be true" it is saying that I need more that says it is actually from the game you are telling me it is for me to believe what you are saying.

Holding everything to higher standards instead of just swallowing everything the way it is sold to me.

I thought KCD looked like a boring game back in the day that only got any praise because it "clapped back against the SJWs" and rode that easy train to popularity.

So I can't be disappointed in a game I had no interest in and already thought was a grifter.

It was anything but boring, but it is sure as hell was unfinished (hell there wasn't even blacksmithing features and crossbows were missing)

It was almost like a hige beta, the things they got right was the immersion and the graphics, soundtrack and quest design (its like Gothic basically, quests can be completed before they are even started)

It was a solid game with ZERO niggers, which is why i held it to high regard despite the missing features

As for Vavra, i had massive respect for the lad until he sold out the very company he co-founded for a bag of shekels (he's a jew so obviously shekels were dearer to him than actually staying true to his vision)

Pics from 4chan came out a few days ago where a man from Mali introduces himself as a medical physician and an explorer. Problem is that there is no reason why a Sub-Saharan man from Mali would travel all the way to land-locked Kutna Hora.

The dialogue is way too cringe to be real (I would hope), but the fact that not even terminally online Daniel Vavra has commented on this makes me think that this is more legitimate than not, particularly when people are bombarding his Twitter with this. I’m remaining cautious of purchasing this game until I get confirmation that this game doesn’t include sub-saharan people. If it does include them, then Daniel Vavra loses any right to call himself “based” and I will never buy this game or any other game Warhorse Studios makes.

Ok. Is there any proof at all that this screenshot is real or are you pulling a Kotaku right now?

the fact that not even terminally online Daniel Vavra has commented on this means

... that he may not have even seen it. Have you personally tried getting his attention?

A week later: I rescind my skepticism.

When the screenshot first arrived on 4chan it was also posted to Steam and the Steam thread called it out as only linking back to the same 4chan post.

So while that doesn't confirm its not real it certainly pushes the dial hard towards a gayop.

Can you think of any reason the presence of the sahara desert might prove an impediment to travel in medieval times?

That might very well be Mansa Musa, the guy who spent so much gold while travelling he literally destroyed local economies with inflation one after another.

Mansa’s pilgrimage didn’t take him through Kutna Hora, and he died in 1337, about 66 years prior to when the game takes place.

IIRC it's one of the reasons military rank structures use silver as a higher rank than gold.

For a brief moment, due to what amounts to gold inflation (from Musa's charity), and Silver deflation (from the Ottoman's embargo), silver was more expensive than gold in Europe.

I dont plan on buying this since i didnt like the combat of the first game bexause it was clunky for me.

What if next line the main char says "you lie, your kind sold slaves and mass raped entire regions".

I don't shy away from "hard" games but the combat didn't work for me, either. I liked the realistic damage that you could take but it was too difficult to swing a sword.

One screenshot does not make a case, but it does warn of one. If I cared about Warhorse or Vavra, I'd look into the consultancy groups and the government grants his company contracts with, but I don't, so I won't. When whatever this is comes out, someone will post the credits roll to Youtube, so we can look it over for usual suspects.

In fairness, if the Islamic rulers of a country allow you to travel in peace, you will probably be fine, because the population would be too scared of being executed for messing with you.

However, they would laugh hysterically about the idea of respecting women.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 0 ▼
– Jack 0 points 4 months ago +1 / -1

if we're talking about the golden age of islam, there is an argument to be made that women were treated better and given more autonomy than western counterparts. But given that KCD2 takes place in 1400s the ass end of their golden age, rights of women didn't just stagnated, it somehow managed to decline over the next 600 years.

so what the character said is actually really funny, not sure if ironic, but more "if you paid attention in history class and live in reality you will find what I just said to be delightfully droll."
