I have intimate knowledge of the H-1B process and the difference between how things went under Trump compared to Biden was night and day.
Under Trump, USCIS issued RFE's quite frequently. RFE = request for evidence where they require additional documentation to prove the role is a speciality occupation, and/or that the employee meets the criteria based on a combo of education and experience.
Once Biden took office, cases sailed right through and RFE's were rarely issued.
H-1B holders have been freaking out since Trump won the election, but I'm guessing they feel a lot better knowing Elon is fighting for them while having Trump's ear.
Elon probably only interacts with the best of the best, and so he thinks that's how most of them are.
