They and all 67 million of her voters know Trump is not Hitler and just say it hoping they could have influenced some of the 72 million who voted for Trump, but honestly Trump probably got more votes once they started throwing that around the last week of the election when she had yet to share real policy plans.
Frankly I'd have respected it more. This whole "We're just gentle libs playing by the rules UwU" thing is total horseshit when they're talking about siccing ICE on their hispanic neighbors in revenge. Skip this nation-scale Mean Girls routine and go tear up the capitol or something, you fucking pussies.
I almost feel sorry for her. Almost. This had to be so humiliating. She failed upward like no one ever had, getting into increasingly greater positions of power without ever winning an election or doing even a quarter-decent job. And she relished the power, loved the idea that she could make or break filthy commoners with a stroke of her pen. And now, after coasting along as Vice-President, she was given the opportunity to finally achieve the highest position of power in the entire world, and to even earn the privilege of being the first WAHMEN OF CAHLOR president...and it was snatched from her by the establishment's greatest and most hated enemy. It wasn't even a close election. Trump beat her handily; there wasn't even a moment during the counting where she was ahead of him.
There were attempts to cheat in her favor just like what was done for her former running mate, whom she betrayed, but they were systematically zapped. She did manage to get some extra votes shipped into Pennsylvania after midnight, but it was clear at that point that was not going to be enough to win the state, and even if it was, Trump swept the rest of the battlegrounds. The defeat was so crushing that she pretty much left her headquarters without bothering to address her supporters, leaving only some stooge to awkwardly tell them she'd be back tomorrow. She's probably hurting real bad knowing the peak of glory was stolen from her when it seemed that it was just within reach, and now she's doomed to be little more than a historical footnote.
I wonder if she was aware that she was just a sacrificial candidate thrown onto the altar so that more capable Democratic candidates could prepare for 2028. I wonder if she was aware that the Bidens and other politicians were undermining her out of pure spite. I wonder if she was even aware of what an utter incompetent she was and that her entire career was a lie built on sex and affirmative action (and eventually DEI). And if the answer to any of those is no, is she aware of it now?
While its bad for her in this way, Hillary had literally spent her entire life building towards the presidency. She had the entire backing of the Dem machine behind her, literally destroying people decades in advance of her ascension. They had her chosen to continue their march towards full control.
And she lost to a meme candidate tv show host. Not only lost, but lost so late in her life that she could never recover (like she did from 2008). Every single part of her life amounted to nothing and literally no one has cared about her since. The Clinton dynasty literally ended and Obama became the "legacy" messiah instead.
Kamala was a loser who was given power beyond her means. Humiliating, but she still got to be VP and knew well in advance she was a back up's back up. But it ain't shit on what happened to Hilldawg.
and knew well in advance she was a back up's back up
Sometimes everything is as it seems. Biden chose one of his weaker opponents for VP so as not to be overshadowed. Perhaps they really thought he'd make it 8 years, although I don't exactly see what changed. He always seemed senile to me. He finally got caught in public? So why have the debate? He could've just stuck to the party line that Trump is evil beyond debating and giving him a platform is automatically bad.
I have more questions than answers after the results.
Biden chose one of his weaker opponents for VP so as not to be overshadowed
He chose a black woman because she was a black woman. He announced during the primaries that he was going to choose a woman VP, and the summer of love kicked off a few months before his pick, so black became a fairly sure thing. I'm willing to believe she legitimately was the best black female choice.
Considering he was the frontrunner man-to-beat the entire time, that seems an exceedingly bad bet. I usually give, like, Chuck Todd more credit than that.
the Democrats kept letting themselves about how they are the party of integrity, and how they believe in """our democracy""". there was nothing blatantly obvious about the data, at least nothing nearly as obvious as the giant jumps that the Biden votes had in 2020, so they have zero capital to challenge the election.
They would have abandoned it in a heart beat. The issue is that Kamala has no allies that are willing to sink their own careers to start a constitutional crisis over.
Moreover, I think Trump's victory was just too vast. They need to have at least the air of legitimacy around them as they do their things, and they may have tried to pull it off if it was another case of an EC win but PV loss. But with Trump not only winning the EC, not only running the table and winning every single swing state, but also running up the numbers in Blue states and winning a healthy advantage on the PV, they cant pull it off. It would be a bridge too far. Their credibility is already shot as it is. The only thing they can do is pull back and try to find a new angle to come at things from, and that means Trump gets in and Kamala is politically toast.
You have to cheat ahead of time, for the most part. I suppose there is the finding ballots for days thing. But I think mostly it is planned out well in advance. Example: Sending out ballot harvesters with blank ballots and having them come back.
And has plenty enemies like Jill Stein who came back from getting force cancelled for noticing too hard in 2016 to start running again with full knowledge of how they cheated last time.
Anyone else remember when South Park did this bit 20+ years ago with the female Mayor when a group were asking for her and some assistant had to come out and tell them she wasn't able to? After being pushed on the topic the assistant sheepishly mentions the Mayor is on her period.
It's hilarious seeing how they backed themselves into a corner with their muh democracy bullshit. We got a taste in 2022 when they couldn't steal the governorships in Florida and Texas, and taking the stick they planned to beat us with and shoving it up their asses will be glorious.
Kinda hard to argue election results when your campaign did so bad that heavy blue states got historically the closest they’ve ever been to flipping. It’s not like Trump lost a couple swing states in a tight race. He suddenly lost an overwhelming lead in ALL swing states right at the same time
The fragment that I saw sounded gracious. Some people tried to nitpick "this isn't what we voted for" - but it seemed to me that she was talking about herself and her supporters.
I watched it, it was mostly her trying to pull a "Mamala" (I fucking hate that term), but you could see she nearly broke down into tears several times.
There's nothing gracious about this bitch. If there was, we'd be talking about Joe Biden's concession instead.
Imagine running a campaign where you're calling someone "literally Hitler" and then you have to call them up and say "hey man, gg!"
It's within his rights to tell her to chortle these nuts. They're great nuts, you're going to love em. The best nuts.
Either she admits to slander, or she becomes a collaborator to fascists. Woops!
Like Glenn Greenwald pointed out, none of the people who called him Hitler are now acting as if Hitler won the election.
If Hitler won the election in my country, I'd be trying to get out before he entered office. For reals not the usual celebrity stuff.
Maybe the best nuts of all time.
Everyone says so. They get that all the time. Such flavor.
"Kamala, just put your head down and get to work. That's what husband said you do best!"
Her faggot husband don’t know. Ask Willie Brown.
They and all 67 million of her voters know Trump is not Hitler and just say it hoping they could have influenced some of the 72 million who voted for Trump, but honestly Trump probably got more votes once they started throwing that around the last week of the election when she had yet to share real policy plans.
I think it was her goal to run an Obama-like hopey-changey ideological-factional campaign.
I first read that as Harris calling Trump to demand he concede, which would be a ballsy move.
Same impression I got from the headline, and yet wouldn't be surprising in the slightest.
Sounds like a move a DA would do.

Hard not to fail upward when you're going down on...
You got me there, LOL!

I don't think they thought Trump would run again or at least wouldn't gain traction.
Considering he was the frontrunner man-to-beat the entire time, that seems an exceedingly bad bet. I usually give, like, Chuck Todd more credit than that.
they painted themselves in the corner.
the Democrats kept letting themselves about how they are the party of integrity, and how they believe in """our democracy""". there was nothing blatantly obvious about the data, at least nothing nearly as obvious as the giant jumps that the Biden votes had in 2020, so they have zero capital to challenge the election.

I agree on all of that.

I despise Democrats for knowing that all of their primaries are fraudulent and rigged, and then pretend that there's no issue with the election.
It's like an angry ex drunk-calling you, heheh
Through gritted teeth and slurring her words she still did more than Killary though.
I don't - she should have made the call last night. but instead went home to sulk.
Correct. She pulled a Hillary. She was either a) too emotionally broken, or b) looking for allies to conspire some bullshit with and didn't find any.
not a lot of people would've watched a speech in the early AM. I don't know exactly when she would've given up.
Women cannot into politics. Shillary did the same thing; sent out Podesta to say "Oops. She's mad right now. Give her a bit to calm down."
Anyone else remember when South Park did this bit 20+ years ago with the female Mayor when a group were asking for her and some assistant had to come out and tell them she wasn't able to? After being pushed on the topic the assistant sheepishly mentions the Mayor is on her period.

I don't give her credit for anything besides being Willie Brown's side piece.
Kinda hard to argue election results when your campaign did so bad that heavy blue states got historically the closest they’ve ever been to flipping. It’s not like Trump lost a couple swing states in a tight race. He suddenly lost an overwhelming lead in ALL swing states right at the same time
Trump lost New York by only 11.
Trump lost Illinois by only 7.
Trump lost New Jersey by Five.
These numbers are catastrophic.
There are so many Trump flags here it's actually getting kind of concerning.
If a certain political party isn't retarded, we could easily turn it red.
I give zero credit. The concession should have been that night like every pre-2016 election when the winner was obvious.
The fragment that I saw sounded gracious. Some people tried to nitpick "this isn't what we voted for" - but it seemed to me that she was talking about herself and her supporters.

I didn't watch it. But I think it's fair to give her credit for doing something that has to be difficult but is ultimately healthy.
She should have conceded yesterday, but was probably to drunk and angry to make a good speech.
