Twitch is enacting a ban on streams with a “focus on intimate body parts for a prolonged period of time” starting on March 29th. IMO this is going to be selectively enforced. (twitter.com)

Twitch needs to simply permaban the obvious bad actors. Make examples out of the half dozen biggest thots on the platform and watch all the rest cut it out. There’s plenty of creative space for predatory women to fleece their child simps without turning the website into pornhub lite.

The bad actors rake in too much money for Twitch and AFAIK Twitch is still losing money.

IMHO they're only doing the bare minimum so they don't get regulated or dumped by payment processors.

That's a more solid theory than the idea that simps are protecting their favorite egirls imo. Both can be true, but the financial incentive is probably more important.

What's tumbler?

A site that used to have porn, when anybody used it. Then they banned it, and everyone left. I think they unbanned the porn.

tumblr (stylized spelling without the "e") is/was a blogging site that was extremely popular with leftwingers of a particularly looney bent. while there are/were people of all viewpoints on the platform, for some reason, it was a real magnet for people who really wanted you to know how much of a victim they were.

Besides trans-everything, such ideas as headmates, otherkin, and many others developed and were extremely popular there. the community at least was known for being very much

(I'd go into it, but this video is a small sampling of the more insane things that occurred on the platform. warning; the guy who originally made the videos collected here is very much toward mocking everything, so the most extreme posts will be highlighted)

as far as I know the site still exists, but their numbers dropped off a cliff when they decided to ban porn a few years ago.

Why would a pimp off their best whores, just for selling themselves actively? As long as the pimp still gets a cut, sure, slap 'em once to make sure they know they can't have too much power in the arrangement, but you want 'em making you money.

And Twitch is a pimping service.

The bad actors are performing sexual favors for twitch staff at conventions.

Twitch moderators are not about to give up on the free egirl pussy they get for selective enforcement.

If I was to be a snide motherfucker, I bet it was only implemented now because Vtubers were copying the ethots in a mocking way doing a 'well they can do it so why can't we?'. Twitch has a VERY heavy handed approach to fictional adult oriented content compared to just being a whore.

I won't be surprised if they only give out day bans to the main thots so they can try their next slut scheme later.

The cycle goes as follows:

Let someone push the envelope straight into porn territory.

Let that become the new "meta".

Wait until the VTubers get in on it.

Now ban it and everyone who was doing it.

Agree to unban or un-flag particular thots in exchange for sexual services such as free OnlyFans access.

The primary thots unbanned, they wait for them to try pushing the envelope once again.

Pretty much, Vtubers should just make their OWN streaming service given Twitch's horrible management and YouTube being meh.

No need for blackjack or hookers as that's just making another Twitch.

Be real, Rumble isn't competition with how they behave, they're just an alternate.

While watching Twitch dangle on meathooks is atleast slightly amusing, I still marvel over how people can use that fucking site to begin with.

Every time I wander over there for some reason, the overall UI drives me up the wall. Completely counter-intuitive, busy as all fuck, nevermind the ads(adblocker seems to only work sometimes for Twitch).

If it blows up and people migrate over to Youtube, I won't cry much. Youtube has it's issues, but nothing compared to Twitch.

At this point, it's probably because Amazon is supporting them that they are still relevant along with 'drops' and habits from when they were the main game in town with streaming.

They didn't develop past that though and have been overtaken functionally by a lot of sites. If Amazon shows signs of wavering support they're fucked.

If you wanted mass adoption of Linux for example, you're going to have to create some kind of normie distro that's ultra user friendly even your grandmother can figure out with a tutorial because

Most of the time there is no proper tutorial and everything is a mess.

It's not difficult to ban e-wh0res from Twitch. Tired of the bad faith rule tweakings on a platform watched by minors, targetting minors.

The admins didn't fix it because they didn't want to.

If they're under a game category and not actually playing a game they need to be kicked. I'm pretty sure you could rustle up an AI guardian to start punting people.

All the 304s know they can get around these "guidelines" with ease by just playing a games loading screen in a postage stamp sized window while they shake their titties and shill their onlyfans account.

going to be selectively enforced

Every rule on every social platform from all of Instagram to a tiny IRC channel is selectively enforced. Everything.

▲ 2 ▼
– Tundinator 2 points 2 years ago +2 / -0

It's always selectively enforced!

They leave it vague because otherwise they lose their cash cow(s), but this way they get to appeal to the complainers by saying 'look, we're trying! it's complicated!'. They also don't have nearly enough 'mod staff' (lol) to actually enforce a hard rule.

I expect nothing will happen and/or one person gets a warning, while the rest of the 'scene' just continues on.

I’m not so sure if they’ll selective enforce this time. Right now, the credit card companies are going hard on nudity content. If Twitch was smart (and want to get money at all), they’d ban it all with no exceptions. If they had balls, they would fight against it but they wouldn’t need this change in policy to begin with.
