It's funny because it plays against the narrative of 'men are shallow only thinking about sex, violence and nothing else without women there' that the left try to force as a reason for diversity hires.
I at least think of Rome once a week as it's a good comparison:
•shitty modern architecture: thinking of Rome's still existing masterpieces
• shitty infrastructure: Roman's still functioning works
• Military going woke: Rome's regimented legions
It goes to show that despite us having the benefit of history hindsight and our technological advances, we really haven't got our shit together because if Rome existed now and could get our modern weapons, we'd all be speaking Latin as our primary language within a month. And most of it wouldn't be violent takeover as they'd just be better.
It destroyed the Republic. They were running out of citizens, so they started conscripting slaves and criminals, who came home as citizens and wanted land.
You forgot no fault divorce, which was one of the critical failures of Rome, as men no longer had a reason to work hard since the women didn't have a reason to stay loyal. You had men essentially giving up on achieving what their forefathers did, and so the decline of Rome was steady and then sudden.
It's almost like looking back at history can tell us a lot about what our future will look like.
Gotta say, I find the Brett Cooper format to be fairly annoying. It just seems lazy and exaggerated. It's basically just "react" content, even more so than most of these other shows.
I’m curious why this is all over the internet? I’d say I think about it 2 to 3 times a month. Sometimes with the what of game wondering how the world would be if Rome hadn’t fallen.
Deep dive? My the emperor have mercy on your soul.
A quick browse will take a few days. At least.
A deep dive? How many months are you willing to invest? And that’s just learning the lore of the Astartes.
It takes place in 30kish and is all space-opera military that leads up to the foundational event of the 40k universe.
The Emperor of Mankind is attempting to unite the remnants of the previous fallen Human galactic empire that had become separated for thousands of years.
To do this he created 20 genetically pretty much demigod generals to lead his armies of super soldiers. Eventually he stepped back and left the crusade to one of them Horus.
The first 3 books are about how Horus became disillusioned and eventually corrupted into betraying and turning against the Emperor.
So that's why people keep asking me this... I've been asked if I knew who Plinny the Elder was or my opinions on the Roman senate a ton this last week. One of my thesis papers was on German and Roman interaction and treatment. I also got my cub scouts to work to become Roman soldiers. It was a lot of fun.
I may have also designed a Roman arcade and 'car' for a themed experience
Very rarely, and mostly when I am reading something about it, there is only 1 Empire I think about, daily, and often have very vivid dreams about, and it's neither Roman nor from the same era.

The Second Punic War was Rome's Vietnam.
It destroyed the Republic. They were running out of citizens, so they started conscripting slaves and criminals, who came home as citizens and wanted land.
I thought the German barbarians were Rome's Vietnam in that the trees spoke barbarian..
Germany was Rome's Afghanistan.
Rome won their Vietnam because of Scipio.
Funny thing is, they still seem to focus on this as men being pointless weirdos.
Considering women are the reason reality tv exists, they got no room to stand on with that lol

So yeah, that's a daily for me. Hilarious meme.
Then out spake brave Horatius,
The Captain of the gate:
‘To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his Gods
I suppose I am required to post in this thread.

Women brought down the Roman republic?
The beginning of the end. They couldn't keep the women under control.
I just saw this on Lotus Eaters too, funny stuff.

That, and he tries to talk like lil Benji.
Yeah I have no interest in watching a react video by Ben Shapiro's son. Thanks u/Kienan.
Plebes think about the Roman Empire.
True men of culture think about the Roman Republic.
Holy Roman Empire too?
Holy Roman Empire, Batman!

They only ask about Warhammer because of Henry Cavill
Warhammer is something I’ve been meaning to do a deep dive into

Ha! That’s what I hear
Summarized by the words "and then it got worse."
All you need to know is that ORKZ IZ BEST!
Im 10 books into Horus Heresey now and have enjoyed all of them.
Haven't noticed any message pushing. Just fun space opera and military plots.
Out if the 10 Legion was the most unique because it is a sci-fantasy spy thriller.
What’s that series about? I recently found an alternate reality anthology of a Roman space program.
It takes place in 30kish and is all space-opera military that leads up to the foundational event of the 40k universe.

Ohhh. Cool! I’m thinking it was tied to the Romans. Sounds really good.
As I was reading, I expected the "W" word at the end to be "Weimar".
Every time I see prices when I go shopping, I think about Weimar and the photo with the wheel barrow full of devalued currency.

Youtube has started advertising penis enlargement to me…
wtf
Maybe youtube thinks you are a girl in need of gender affirming care.
Every time I read current clown world news, I think of the Roman Empire
Very rarely, and mostly when I am reading something about it, there is only 1 Empire I think about, daily, and often have very vivid dreams about, and it's neither Roman nor from the same era.
The HBO series Rome (my second favorite TV show despite whatever historical inaccuracies it may have) portrays it like that
"HE WAS A CONSUL OF ROME!"
Women will vote for a candidate based on how that candidate looks.
