The violent death of a random individual could almost be seen as a victory for the state, which now has cause to demonstrate its power. There's really nothing unusual about a government punishing (real) dissidents with an iron fist. I just hope people realize the difference the next time their neighborhood is 'peacefully protested' and the government refuses to lift a finger to stop it.
