Artist once again failing to realize that artist are what destroyed art. Thank Jackson Pollock and Pablo Picasso for destroying art. It was artists that rejected beauty and promoted grotesqueness. The were the murderers of the human hope. They were the foot soldiers of Communism. Fuck artists. I hope more of them starve.
Artists tend to be pseudo intellectuals. The deepest I introspection is when they draw one thing and mean their mother.
Plenty of intellectuals are pseudo intellectuals.
I can't disagree with that.
Makes all the sudo intellectuals like Thomas Sowell that much more precious.
Modern day artists are even worse.
Look at Hunter Biden for a good example. Just a way to grift money for people who are trying to avoid taxes and smuggling money out of the USA.
Artists deserve as much respect as prostitutes.
I've heard and briefly looked in to the idea that the CIA worked to sell people like Pollock, jazz, rock, and that sort of thing to American and European elite art circles to oppose Soviet Realism and expand America's social influence. Soviet Realist stuff, while heavily influenced by the state and a huge target of censorship, actually shows humanity. Which makes sense to me given that the previous Russian Empire turned out a ton of art that was explicitly about humanity.
I don't have time to go back down this rabbit hole but there are reddit (I know) posts like this that ultimately concludes "The CIA did not create modern art, this claim is flase" No shit Snopes.
Also, I have to include the top comment
Direct quote, emphasis mine. "Pseudo intellectuals" indeed.
Of course they don't teach you that in art history, but it's known and accepted by "mainstream" sources even.

Except that we know they did it because they were still doing it into the 21st century: when the idiot brigade tried to uplift Afghanistan, they decided highlighting degenerate Western art was the way to do it.
Comment Reported for: Rule 12 - Falsehoods
This is more dancing the line of Rule 2, but I'll allow it because I think it's a play on the "starving artist" statement.
This sounds like 'pseudo intellectual I'm so enlightened' bullshit that someone that's stoned out of their heads or WAY out of their depth in a conversation comes up with.
"I'm 14 and this is deep" energy
I had a teacher explain how the dubliners by James Joyce was all about gay and pedo sex.
First thing I thought was "man that sounds like something my younger brother would say."
The original quote is from the CEO of IBM, "AI isn't killing the industry, people with AI is doing it."
I'm quoting this from memory, so it's likely skewed.
AI art isn't killing anything, that some fuckhead was able to sell a banana taped to a wall for $120,000 and that was called art is what is killing the industry.
People are seeing that art is a meaningless term, less than meaningless because at least at that point it wouldn't make or cost anything but when I can fling shit on a canvas and people have to say it's art or be 'uncultured' means that art itself has no purpose AI just allows everyone to make something they might like and it cuts out the low skill hacks who realized they won't be making money since they can't even rise above what computer learning can produce
This reminded me I have this image.
It really does lower the bar for art by a lot, everyone can have a cool looking, unique piece of art for whatever purpose they can envision. No need to pay some hack artist 500 buckos to draw your artpiece within a couple weeks, just ask the AI to do it, if you can semi draw yourself you can even make a sketch and have Ai work on that(I have done so before also).
I hate that the banna became a symbol of the degeneration of culture, cause I actually really liked that piece. It was a bright spot in the sea of turd that is modern art.
What ever happened with Watson? It was their baby for a decade
It became obsolete to the newer AI.
MorAIrty.
I look forward to RAIechenbach.
Why does that horse look like it has a carnivore's muzzle beneath the nose?
It does. That's a big cat's snout.
I'd wager the AI that drew this didn't know any better, and the person who asked isn't a very good artist.
Edit: look at the left hand. It's anatomically impossible to have the pinky wrapped around while the index and middle fingers are rotated 90 degrees from the typical grip orientation. 100% an AI fudge-up. It's also missing an ear.
Sure, but Bojack Horseman wasn't drawn by an AI.
AI has trouble with small details and hands, but there are ways it can be guided away from making those mistakes with human input. The amount of time it takes to fix hands on an anime girl is so much shorter than drawing one from scratch and AI Art Is Theft people simply don't understand.
The face isn't properly proportioned for a horse. So the mouth piece will look more like something with that type of mouth.
this is like the Mathew mcconauggey car ad
They can join the taxi drivers, video rental store owners and journalists in the 'so insufferable everyone's rejoicing they're being replaced' support group.
Learn to weld, LMAO!
This pic goes hard
Feel free to screencap
Is this like satire of “AI won’t replace workers, workers using AI will” ?
Cause if it is, then I agree with the authors sarcasm .

The cow horse thing is not sexy. I can admit it's well dressed, but that's all.
