Wikipedia is a lot like Faggit. It started as a techno-libertarian experiment, and its failure to gatekeep the trannies led to a hostile takeover by cultural Marxists.
it's also the case that a large portion of those "techno-libertarians" are now full-on trannies. I'm a member of several niche communities (especially niche gaming) that have in the past 10 years just completely changed. it's honestly quite sad to see all those people suckered into a way of life that will bring them nothing but misery. it's also aggravating because these people who I used to share a hobby with are now radical and very hard to relate to.
they go from posting neat stuff and being fun to nearly only talking about TRANS UWU GLITTER TEEHEE
They always write this stuff acting like the only Native Indians are whiny bitches like the Navajo.
When there are plenty of tribes who did completely assimilate and had a far better time for it without having to sacrifice their identity or culture either. My local Louisiana tribe literally just became one with the white settlers to the point where we all just look red (thanks to the sun turning our skin leather) and they have their tribal meetings while we go about our business.
But no, its always that historical revisionism that there was no choice for the Indians but to be slaughtered and tortured because Whitie was just that evil. They had zero agency ever and never did a single thing wrong that lead to their albeit tragic consequences.
American Krogan drops some beautiful truths about the White man's burden and native savagery in his takedown of Bioshock Infinite. Specifically in Chapter 2. Plenty of tribes stood down peacefully, but there were those who simply enjoyed extreme violence and believed in their own divine ownership of the land. For them the only acceptable outcomes were genocide of the whites or death. They received death.
And in some ways, I think they were still in the right in that belief more than the European colonists, simply because they were in fact there first. No moral judgement, simply based on the most neutral fact possible they "owned" the land first.
But if you try to fuck around, you can't be upset when you find out. Even worse, when you drag down a much larger amount of people who didn't want to fuck around with you, you are committing outright acts of evil that you can't blame on anyone else.
They were the OG alt right combatting mass immigration.
People never stop to question as to why, despite there being a rather large number of various native tribes still up and kicking all over the place even during westward expansion, there was not much pushback.
Atleast part of the answer basically boils down to 'Alot of said tribes absolutely fucking hated one another and would gleefully use all these new european technology to ramp up the killing, and payback is an utter bitch.'
Ppl seem to ignore the fact that being an Indian sucks. For the most part it still does.
Assimilate sure. It's a better life. Continue to do whatever Indian stuff you like.
Reservations are hotbeds of alcoholism, domestic violence and sexual abuse.
There are basically no employment opportunities outside taking money from the government.
If you live on a reservation and you want a good job or a career then you go where the work is, just like everyone else.
The USA switched from substance farming to a factory production economy in WWII. Agriculture was mechanised and people have been moving to cities ever since.
This has impacted every single small rural town, and native American reservation are no exception. Except Native Americans have their cultural identity tied up in being isolated and jobless.
It is exactly the same with Aboriginal Australians. Most of them that live in Sydney or Melbourne no longer speak 'language' and they might even get jobs.
Yes everyone with ambition beyond drinking themselves to death leaves. I went to school with some of these as they get huge diversity points.
Literally one of the common mantras at the time was “kill the Indian save the man.”
It’s funny, because some of these sentences are plainly untrue, yet if you try to correct them, Wikipedia will just revert your edits and then ban you…
Eugh. “He who controls the past controls the future”…
Such fucking bullshit, even just on one page…
Fun fact: I changed wikipedia to say I caught a touchdown in an obscure American football game many years ago. It's still there seven years later.
Based.

This got posted yesterday, I think, here on KIA2, but it's plenty relevant.
Most of Wikipedia's money came from a progressive activist funding firm, and all of the Wikimedia foundation's assets are under management by that firm. They're entirely controlled by the activist left.
Colonialism bad. But unchecked immigration good. What's the difference, you ask?
Probably which side the Hwyte people are on.
Whenever someone defends modern demographic replacement by appealing to the genocide of the American Indians, I just say “and that was bad, right?” Basically force them to admit that their ideology is steeped in vengeance and resentment. No moral high ground.
Yes, they are the same. It is important we understand how native populations in the past were replaced by unchecked immigration to near total extinction, because the same processes are now at play against us.
There's even a narrative about white people disappearing.
So wikipedia admits that native populations can be genocided by illegal immigrants?
Wikipedia is a joke. Articles use language like "Trump's false claims" which, even if they are false, is NOT HOW YOU WRITE AN ENCYCLOPEDIA!
Didn't something like 3/4 of the east coast American Indians get decimated by diseases like smallpox and TB after contact?
If these estimates are in anyway true, the lands would suddenly be "empty" because all the villagers had the Age of Sail coof.
Most of the plains Indians just died. There are reports of villages where every single person was just dead.
There is suggestion that this caused the buffalo numbers to explode because of the cessation of hunting.
Of course the whites then shot them all for skins and the tongues, leaving the meat to rot.
Almost the entire Australian Aboriginal population of Tasmania died of small pox. Most Australians will tell you that they were killed by genocide in massacres. Which they were not.
If you force them to accept the diseases as the cause, they'll blame it on intentional actions by the evil colonizers, despite the fact that it was hundreds of years before the germ theory of disease when the highly-educated were experimenting with bloodletting and avoiding areas with 'stagnant' air.
Smallpox had done its damage long before humans - any of us - understood what smallpox is or how to prevent its spread.
95% is the number you are actually looking for. There were 3 (I think) waves of illness which swept through the population starting in the 1500's and continuing into the 1800's which each had huge mortality rates. The settlers where justified in their belief that the natives were dissapearing...because they were literally dissapearing. The Population of natives on the continent went from 200,000,000 (estimated) to pretty much none. Even now, hundreds of years later with time for the population to increase, there are only 5 million in the states, and that number includes all the mixes where the "native" is only 1/16 indian and the rest is Euro-mutt. You can do the math yourself.
