so threatened by Blackness that they feel the need to do that to separate Egypt from the rest of the continent.

We didn't separate Egypt from the rest of the continent; the fucking Sahara did.

Explaining that crossing the Sahara was about as difficult as crossing the Atlantic to a black supremacist is totally impossible, you simply can't impart that knowledge into their heads no matter what.

This is both accurate and inaccurate. Travel was possible, and even common, in certain contexts. Pilgrimages, for instance, involved people from as far away as England making the trek to Jerusalem (though, much more common, was simply to Canterbury). BUT the difficulty and expense were astronomically high. A pilgrimage to Jerusalem was a life-long goal and/or luxury, and someone would have to plan for decades and arrange their entire lives around an absence of a year or longer to make the journey.

Without some huge incentive driven by religious fervor, the likelihood that someone would make such a sacrifice is very very low. Black Africans, as a whole, had almost no reason to even imagine traveling to Northern Europe for most of history, with the only exceptions being hard-core travelers like pirates or sea-traders, and they did not migrate but simply pass through. So it's fine to depict the unicorns of blacks in, say, London or other port cities, but in the context of visitors and ocean nomads, not permanent settlers.

One could sail up or otherwise travel the Nile.

There are several parts of the Nile that you can't really get boats through because of rocks and shallow water, and we're dealing with people who were beaten to settling Madagascar by people who had to cross several thousand miles of ocean to get there first.

You can go along the river. Drinking water's here, and shade from trees, and even settlements.

I know you're defending your gig, but unless you want a death note against you, be quiet.

Just do an Adam Driver, do the gig, get paid and get out.

Ryan Gosling- "Martin Luther King, Jr. might have been part Caucasian, absolutely."

This but unironically. African-American genetics have got considerable Caucasian admixture from all those slaveowners carrying on affairs with their slaves, like 24% white ancestry from the last study I saw on the subject (from 2015). Meanwhile the Greek Ptolemaic dynasty took up the Egyptian tradition of brother-sister inbreeding, and only occasionally branched out to intermarry with their Greco-Persian Seleucid neighbors. Even when they took mistresses, the Ptolemaic Pharaohs' known concubines were all fellow Greeks (from either Alexandria or Cyrene, a Greek colony which long predated the first Ptolemy & Alexander).

So yeah, it's literally more likely that MLK was part-white than it is that Cleopatra was part-black (sub-Saharan African), or even Egyptian. Frankly, much more likely at that. (The Ptolemies generally had a much more elitist attitude toward their Egyptian subjects than the Seleucids had toward their Persian & other Asiatic subjects, and certainly weren't known for taking Egyptian wives, much less sub-Saharan black ones.)

Western European like English possibly, certainly not any sort of Caucasian.

Who have began arriving in America only really recently, besides a bit more established Armenians.

You know what I mean. Now sure, professional historians & anthropologists may have moved past that, but colloquially the term 'Caucasian' is still treated as synonymous with 'white' generally around here.

Anyway, doesn't change my point, which is that MLK having white ancestry is vastly likelier than Cleopatra having a drop of sub-Saharan blood in his her family tree going back to the very first Ptolemy. In fact it's not even likely but certain; following even a few pages on Wikipedia is enough to lead one to proof (by way of both research done by MLK's own relatives and DNA testing) that one of MLK's ancestors was an Irishman.

Everyone should because the Caucasians are specific nations. The only point of confusion should be only between those from the region generally and those speaking the many Caucasian family languages (which aren't Indo-European).

one of MLK's ancestors was an Irishman.

Still working on my story about a Scandinavian blonde woman playing Shaka Zulu and with the outrage the director reads every defense given by directors of this show and Boyelin show

Why not? You could use the same bs they use for these insane race swaps or period pieces where high society in England is very diverse

And their excuse fluctuates. I’ve been told thatI’m triggered by race or gender swaps and I said not all all, they are just lazy and if you want someone to recognize your creativity then make your own story instead of bastardizing the works of great authors.

Imagine how big Wheel of Time would be if it was made 10 to 15 years ago, or think of how bad Game of Thrones would be if it came out today

Because of this, people have excused the series of "blackwashing" the figure.

Did Fox fire their editors when they fired Tucker and Bongino?

I can't stand this

In a sane world I would want her to defend her casting and defend it based on merit not because of diversity. Was she the best possible choice out of all the auditions? We will absolutely positively never know but all signs point to nope

>make biopic about M Night Shyamalan
>hire Jackie Chan to play him
>people get upset
>"India and China are right next to each other, therefore they are the same, you evil racists"

This is unironically what's happening here. The only difference is in this case, people would universally understand the absurdity of the argument because they haven't been conditioned to simply agree with everything Chinese people say.

we don’t know

Yes we do, Hotep scum. Cleopatra was one of the least mixed race humans in history. Her family tree was braided in on itself.

How many times has the “Egyptians were black” theory been debunked? I know Kushites took over for a while but that’s it if I remember.

Didn't they used to claim the capitalization of Black is only for another synonym of Negro / African American?
