There was a study conducted on I believe the dating app Hinge where people can filter by height if they bought premium. It basically proved how insane women were. The height in men the LEAST filtered by women was 6'7". Meaning if you were 6'7", you would appear on the most women's profiles because the least amount of women will have filtered you based on height. If you were under 5'10" only 16% of women will see you because 84% of women filtered men shorter than 5'10". The sweet spot for height was basically 6'0"-6'11" and within this range, the least filtered range was 6'2"-6'9" or 6'4"-6'7" (with 6'7" being the least filtered). Most women filtered out <6' and >6'11". Lastly, more women would rather date a 7' man than a 5'11" man.
I do think part of that is the aforementioned lack of spatial understanding they have. They truly cannot tell the difference between 5'10 and 6'2 unless those two guys are standing next to each other, because women being as short as they are are always looking up at them.
So their mind lazily just plugs in "6' is the big number" instead of having to do the basic math of how tall a 5'9 dude is to their own 5'2.
Your data only confirms that, because if they actually met a 6'7 dude they would absolutely filter him out. Over like 6'4-6'5 you start getting into the "actually detrimental" heights with real drawbacks due to the world not being scaled for that size, not to mention that their size makes building mass incredibly hard leading to that gangly build most have. Women are simply assuming "its big number!" and calling it a good thing, without any reality or thoughts put into it.

I used to run with a basketball crowd when I was younger. You really couldn’t be more wrong. Dudes up to 6’10” pulled girls effortlessly. It only started to fall off when you hit the 7ft range because most of those dudes were ugly from growth disorders.
I know quite a few dudes in the 6'5-6'7 range, and all of them are incredibly awkward in motion due to their size. Not to mention watching them try to fit in tables and cars. Also, your sample size is athletes. Who can pull women regardless of any other factor about them. Even the guys who are painfully ugly or short can pull better than most of us with that as their claim to fame. Not to mention, being athletes, they are probably way more trained and suited to make their size work for them compared to the average guy.

I'm a 34yo guy so I put in the numbers for my height, race, income, etc...
For ages 27-40 year old, I represent 0.26% of the men in this category.
I used my requirements in women for the calculator and apparently 30.4% of women between the ages of 18-29 years old meet my standards.
