Unless he was literally whipping people pulling a cart shouting 'faster nigger! The ceremony is in 15 minutes.' , it's fucking building.

If you try for this, all black people must leave America immediately as that was 'built upon slavery'. No idea where you'd go as Africa sold your ass so they don't accept refunds, the British fought to end it so they owe you nothing, South America was built with slaves too, I don't know dump you in the middle of the Atlantic then?

Exactly. I remember a white leftist on Tucker Carlson who lived in the Seattle area was wringing his hands about living on stolen land and he had to acknowledge his white privilege. Tucker asked why he didn’t give his wealth away to the tribe that once lived in that area. The guy was at a loss for words.

But that’s my answer when they use the “built on slavery or stolen land”. Either I tell them to find the perfect paradise they seek or to do some world history and they see that is pretty common around the world. I think we have re-hashed American slavery enough let’s “hash” African slavery.

This message is for idiots: I do not condone slavery, punch yourself in the crotch if you try to argue that

European slavery was extremely bad in the transit phase but when they got there, it was more to keep them alive as long as possible as they didn't want to buy more if needed. African slavery was by conquest same as in South America but that also involved human sacrifice

Then there's Arabic slavery, oh boy...with the mass castration, which ironically enough is WHY there isn't any race issues in the middle east.

I'd say the best one was probably roman as there was ways you could earn citizenship, buy your way out and a way out for children.

Always spay and neuter your pets or don't be surprised when you start having a lot of problems with strays.

Good points. Although I’ve read about some brutal African slave owners. I guess my main annoyance is that these people act as if slavery and land conquest is unique to America

Because combined with Lincoln's (I highly recommend watching Razorfists hour long breakdown of Lincoln) actions, it has the most bad blood with it

The Europeans mostly just bought the slaves freedom to avoid a war, then the British further used it's resources to stop new slaves being delivered. It's why BLM died early in Europe, you're telling the people who had debts to pay for your freedom that only recently got cleared that they owe you more, your reparations was already paid to your ancestors to free them!

It's interesting, there were presidential candidates who supported buying and freeing slaves. They were not considered mainstream and either ignored or killed.

To be completely fair and give the other side of the coin from Razor (not that he is wrong, just that there are other factors at play too), Bleeding Kansas had already been raging for 10 years by the time the election of Lincoln came around.

It gets forgotten about a lot because it wasnt as flashy as the Civil War that came right after it, but I am a Kansas native so I have grown up with it. And Bleeding Kansas showed one thing and one thing only: Neither side would be reasonable on the issue. The Pro-Slave advocates would lie, cheat, steal, and commit election fraud on almost comical scales if it meant keeping slavery operating in the US. And they would intimidate, shoot, and bribe anyone who refused to bend to their will. But at the same time, the Free-State advocates had been taken over by individuals who believed it was their destiny to wage a literal, Biblically-endorsed CRUSADE against the South to "Smite the heathens" for slavery, as it was a crime just as much against God as against man.

And you expect an English end to slavery, where the government just buys and frees all the slaves? When these are your factions? It was always going to end one way and one way only.

It sounds like the Civil War was just like World War I. It wasn't the reason, it was the desire for war that pushed them forward.

Also a point to note: Britain at the height of her Empire could barely afford it. It took us one hundred and eighty years to pay off that one.

The US, at the time a far smaller nation, simply could not afford such an extravagance.

It's hard to justify a powergrab by a federal and executive body if you simply pay the owners for their property....

I plan on watching that video. In hindsight I wish we had done it that way. I guess I meant more in the sense that I have literally met people who had no idea slavery exists today or existed in other parts of the world. In one of Thomas Sowell’s books he gives a good summary of world slavery.

I get the bad blood but I guess I have little patience with young black people who can’t shut up about slavery or act as if they suffered more than those who were actual slaves. But blm is a popular grift and you have people who are still dumb enough to take them seriously.

Thanks for reminding me about the Lincoln video.

A plantation is a farm. Sure it might have had slaves on it, but so did a lot of places called "farm". People are getting upset by imagery and names. You can't evoke the imagery of the old south as beautiful because the MSM has decided the whole era was tainted by slavery and can no longer be looked on positively.

They can come live with us in China. Zero history of Atlantic Slavery, so they must be tolerant of blacks, right?

Good grief. One thing Candace Owens did that I like was when she was interviewing this blm local leader from New York and it was around the time that fake story about whipping illegal immigrants trying to cross the border came out. He was talking about how he felt the pain of those photos due to slavery and she interrupted and said “but you weren’t” a slave”. He got so angry. But the point remains.

My mom didn’t meet her dad til she was 21 but wouldn’t I look ridiculous for acting like I grew up without a father based on my mom’s experiences?

Long story short these people need to find something better to do with their lives.

That's why they invented ideas like "generational trauma." So now somehow through the magic of evil, whipping a guy 200 years ago is still traumatizing his descendants.

Because they heard the term generational poverty and thought that was a great thing to use for their purposes. So first it applied to Jews from the Holocaust (which, is more valid as people could actually have met the deceased or survivors to be effected by it) then became "every single non-white person."
