Have you ever met payroll staff? It's a room full middle aged women with unrelated degrees, and then one jewish accountant who gets paid more than than all of them combined.
To be fair, also does the work more than all of them combined.
In terms of hours they probably do the least, but if they are actually good at their job, then certainly they are more valuable to the company and less replaceable than the people whose job is to fill out spreadsheets without actually needing to know anything about tax laws.
While I complain about the Jewish character frequently on this board, in this particular instance, I am making no judgement against Jewish accountants - in fact, compared to many other professions with large overrepresentations of Jews, the accountant is probably the most virtuous of all - for he doesn't tell any lies that average man wouldn't.
