That is a civil war moment right there. That is a moment where those that made the decision should ideally have forfeit their lives.

It really is an interesting contract to the months long precession of overpaid dipshits who get millions for a few hours of grab ass disrespecting the symbol of the country that lets them afford a mansion through a high school recreational activity.

Jesus Christ grow up! Are you still ass blasted over cool kids from high school? We get it, you dont like sports and preffer something else. No need to be a venomous prick about it.

Maybe rich sports players should be mindful of their place in the world and remember that they get paid millions of dollars to play a game for our entertainment. They're not magically smarter than everyone else and don't need to preach their retarded politics, especially when it involves taking a shit on the society that has enough extra cash to throw at them.

and as always, nothings going to happen. They're going to keep getting away with it, and its going to keep getting worse. No one but the innocent will be punished.

And people think you are crazy for believing there are sinister forces behind this movement. Sadly people in the U.S would love punishment for speech like this. I guess Alex Jones is an example

Is crazy how this happened, at least we can put to rest Europeans claiming they have freedom of speech

It differs by country. I did not expect Greece to be this insane, since most of its population is pretty based, but as usual, the "democratic" governments reflect the people's will not at all.

I was in Greece before the pandemic and I was shocked how many people were going to church on Sunday. This news was a bit of a shock to me as well.

What? Greece literally banned their "far right" party a few years back.

China has more freedom than the GAE. At least there you are only prohibited from criticizing the government. Here you are prevented from criticizing pure insanity.

Tsiartas [...] was prosecuted under a supposed anti-racism law which, somewhat perversely, includes provisions against public incitement to violence or hatred on the basis of gender identity.
In Tsiartas’s case, brought to the courts by the Transgender Support Association (SYD), the supposed incitement took the form of a Facebook post from 2017, in which the athlete remarked that he “hope[d] the first sex changes are carried out on the children of those who ratified this abomination” in reference to new legislation on gender identity, Greek media reports.
“Legitimise paedophiles too, to complete the crimes,” he added.
For this, Tsiartas was fined 5,000 euros (~£4,380/$4,980) and handed a 10-month suspended prison sentence. The Transgender Support Association hailed the ruling against the footballer, calling it “particularly important for the transgender community.”

You would think wishing for such 'necessary' treatments for others would cancel out the supposed meanness of calling a law an abomination.

Too late now. The anti-transtrender blasphemy law is already part of the Greek legal system.

In 2017, shortly before the passing of the bill for the redefinition of gender identity, Tsiartas posted a statement on his official Facebook page.

Also, it took them five years to sentence him.
