If they indict him, then support for any other candidate would be acceding to tyranny. Just saying. He should work out something with DeSantis.
But Trump didn't do literally everything I wanted him to do and rebuild the world order like Aurelian, so why would I ever vote for him again? Waaah waaah waaah! Me me me! I'm a real conservative and not some petulant crybaby throwing a tantrum!

It's funny because it's basically a Caesar situation; the question is does Trump have a legion he can bring with him?
I'm supporting DeSantis because he is clearly the superior candidate.
DeSantis is already more popular than Trump in Florida, and this will go nationwide once the primary season starts.
That's just your opinion, and it's wrong. Trump will certainly try to exploit any arrest for political gain, but Republicans are tired of losing elections because of Trump's tweets, lack of self control, and poor political instincts.
They've convinced themselves that trump will be the end of democracy, that he will be like caesar ending the roman republic, or any of those communist strongmen turning their country into an authoritarian dictatorship.
In times past they'd assasinate this person, the mildest thing they could do is convict him of a certain level of crime which would bar him personally from running for president again.
Which is something that has yet to be tested in court anyways, and it’s doubtful whether it would actually be upheld.
They really should arrest and charge him.
He will never get convicted. They would need to somehow get a 100% democrat jury to convict him of anything.
So all that will happen is that the Democrats will exult in the fact that he was arrested and charged at all, just like they exulted in the fact that he was "impeached" only to have the impeachment thrown out by the Senate... twice.
For those of you who want Trump 2024, literally the best thing that could happen to him is to get arrested and charged. Because he will end up acquitted sometime next year during primary season, which will give him a big boost.
It will also expose Democrats as hypocrites on shit like the presumption of innocence, and treating an arrest record as somehow a bad thing even when it did not result in conviction.

There is zero fucking way that 80 year old Biden is making half the crazy ass decisions that have come out of this administration.
