Yakuza: Like a Dragon (Quest). Once I finish it, I'll probably try to get back into Atelier Ryza.

And then there's Gundam Overwat- er, Evolution releasing next week on Steam, freemium.

Competitive FPS isn't generally my thing, but the combination of being a hero shooter, F2P, not-woke, and part of a franchise I already respect really give it favorability points. We'll see how long it'll keep me interested. Likely going to focus on Sazabi at the start.

Honestly, I think it is the first ever shooter Gundam I have ever heard of. It certainly has my attention, especially for the price of "Free". Too bad they dont have my Heavyarms though. Maybe in a future version.

Heavy arms would be so damn cool.

I really hope they implement Wing Gundam, Heavyarms, Sandrock and Epyon from Gundam Wing.

Burning Gundam, Master Gundam and the Dark Gundam would be great additions from G Gundam.

Unfortunately, "getting the suit you want" is only going to end in disappointment, especially if you bank on non-leads. After all, there's TWO Zaku II units in the launch roster- ranged and melee. No, apparently they couldn't just take one of those movesets and put it on another suit.

Yeah the two Zaku II units is a very strange design choice.

I will enjoy the game regardless of whether certain suits are added or not.

I am sure they will find a way to get one Gundam Wing rep at least.

I really want a few Gundam Wing units and G Gundam units added down the line.

For now I am probably going to main Gundam Barbatos.

– Norenia 1 point 3 years ago +1 / -0

I've heard and seen that Barbatos is absolutely broken if you can avoid leaving yourself vulnerable. Something like a stun bash combo with a power smash is all it takes to down an enemy. We'll see if that gets nerfed at launch.

I'd be more than willing to bet on Wing Zero at some point. Burning Gundam might get a bit awkward being a fist-fighter. Most I want from G though is some sort of player avatar of Rain in the Mobile Trace suit.

I seen gameplay videos and Barbatos looks fun as hell to play. As long Barbatos is still a fun character to play, I am okay with any nerfs.

Wing Zero would be a great addition.

I think G Gundam deserves at least one playable rep so if they can't find a way to implement Burning Gundam or Master Gundam properly, they can definitely add the Dark Gundam which would be a very unique unit.

Oh, speaking of G Gundam, one of the stages is indeed named "Guiana Highlands." Why it appears to be littered with bases though is beyond me.

Glad to see a G Gundam stage at least.

The original Gundam series, Gundam Wing, G Gundam, Iron Blooded Orphans are the Gundam series I am most familiar with.

I mean I might try it, but probably not. I never even got around to Dishonored 2 from Arkane. It may be the woke or whatever else but Deathloop's aesthetic just doesn't appeal to me.

Otherwise, I tried Shatterline, it's ok. I also bought Dynasty Warriors 8XL for my Switch yesterday but I haven't played it yet. I had been wanting to try a "real" warriors game. Otherwise, whatever multiplayer stuff I can find, occasional Forza, modded games, etc.

I'm considering getting MW2 too, I didn't really want to but I play with my cousin a lot now and we really need some sort of fast paced multiplayer game that we would both like. I don't like spawning from a parachute drop. That's the only way I make exception, solo play it will be a cold day in hell before I buy another CoD.

Yeah. I liked Dishonored and I played Prey which a bunch of people said was great. I'd call it mediocre myself. I mean it wasn't bad but I kinda made myself finish it more than wanting to finish it. They went off a woke cliff at some point, as they made a woke looking Dishonored sequel and Wolfenstein: Youngblood before Deathloop.

You know, I'm a huge fan of that game and even I have to agree. There are a few segments before the end that are a slog but once the gargantuan typhon starts taking over the station the game has really overstayed it's welcome.

I'm playing Code Vein after its recent Steam sale. It's extremely weeby, but it's not woke in the least and I'm having a blast.

And yes, I'm playing with full-on lewd mods and no shame.

Code Vein was very mediocre, but I loved it all the same. I enjoyed some of the fashion mods that came about, like getting to use Eva's outfit on the player, or Nyotengu's shiny catsuit (holy crap, do I love seeing this suit get modded into so many games!).

I loved Code Vein. The character creation system is amazing and the combat is very fluid.

I hope they make a sequel.

From what I heard, the issues with Deathloop is that it's buggy and forgettable. It's basically playing a working prototype of Dishonored.

what are you all playing?

Going to copy my most recent list, because it hasnt changed much:

Right now, killing time until Victoria 3 launches. Then I will probably be playing that for ages to come.

As for actually playing, right now my rotation consist of the following:

Anno 1800: Got to scratch that Victorian itch somehow, this will be the way.

Earth Defense Force 4.1: Have had it for a while and wanted to play it. Finally got around to it after watching Russian Badger give it a play. Very fun and silly arcade game, for if you just want something where you can blow up giant spiders and robots without having to put too much effort into it (the gameplay being very much "Easy to learn, Difficult to master")

Warframe: My buddies got into this recently again, and we have started getting back to the old grind. Unfortunately, I had never really got that far on PC (having previously played on Xbox), so I am somewhat restarting from scratch. At least I roughly remembered my build, so I have my old frame and guns back.

Snowrunner: Will always stay in my rotation as a good downtime "podcast" game. Fun offroad trucking game.

Power to the People: Recently got this. Its a power management game, where you are in charge of building and maintaining the power grid of a region, and connecting cities to the grid without overloading lines and substations (as well as producing enough power of course). Interestingly, it is one of the only modern games I have seen handle renewable power in a reasonable way. By which I mean, arguably the optimal strategy for the game is to have something like Gas or Coal as your base load power, then use Renewables as something you can turn on to pick up the slack during peak demand.

The only new one I have added to the rotation is Crusader Kings 3, because I wanted to get back into the Paradox vibe before Vicky comes out.

Feels more like a Blaxploitation project than anything "woke" to me. Although I suppose those are the same thing in many ways. The assistant/antagonist is a sassy Black woman who does everything right and your character defers to her every command, but eventually you get to kill her.

But Arkane Studios is woke so I wouldn't give them the time of day.

Yes after the initial setup the whole game is just about you killing her multiple times. (and then time loops, hence the name)

Deathloop main problem IIRC is that there is only one path to completion to where you can get all your targets in their Streamlined Dishonored system. Really cuts replay value once you figure that out. Also the AI can be utterly broken in places.

The people on the island are insufferable twats, so shooting them feels nice. And untangling the secrets is rewarding enough. Game really doesn't hold your hand. The invasion system is unfortunately pretty half baked and not fun imo. I turn it off so I can still pause. The shooting is... weird. At first it feels kinds stiff for some reason, but you get used to it.

I went back to Mad Max but I'm playing it on a series X so it runs smoother. This game was amazing and only 5 bucks when I picked it up. If you haven't played it, grab it on sale.

Desperados III, which I am liking as much as Blades of the Shogun. I used to play the Commandos games quite a lot back in the day, especially the first one, and these are essentially the same.

Before that, Frostpunk, which got me hooked to the point where I have spent several hours planning city layouts for the various levels.

Next up is Destroy All Humans.
