The Boys TV show is a showcase of degeneracy. Almost every character in the show is unlikable and irredeemable. The show is nihilistic to it's core. They take special joy in portraying Christians as cultists and psychopaths, a favorite perspective of Leftists. Did anyone honestly think the people writing and directing the show were anything other than Left-wing degenerates themselves?
I mean... watch whatever you want, but it's not hard to tell what what the writers believe by observing what they write.
Nihilistic being the key word here in regards to entertainment. Good people just lose. All efforts are fruitless. It's all very depressing. This is why I couldn't stomach House of Cards either. I don't want my entertainment to be a downer, especially if there's no moral or lesson for it.
[Erin] Moriarty’s original post calling out the backlash included the following message: “I do feel paralyzed. I’ve put blood, sweat and tears into this role…this does break my heart — I’ve opened up a vein for this role and the misogynistic trolling is exactly what this role would speak out against.”
Antonio and Imp represent Yin and Yang here. They must remain in constant balance or else the laws of the universe break down. Whenever Imp posts that all women are horrible, Antonio posts that actually all women are wonderful, and vice versa. They can't just keep posting their respective schtick over and over or else the balance gets thrown off.

Let's rewind the clock back seventeen years. Eric Kripke developed and produced Supernatural, which was, for the five years that he ran it, one of the most unapologetically masculine shows on television, about a pair of brothers who go around in a '67 Impala killing demons and monsters in their quest to find their father and protect the world from evil.
I have a counter proposal for Mr Kripke. I’ll stop watching the boys, but he can keep his bag of dicks. He needs them more than I do. His gaping asshole can never be sated, no matter how big that bag might be.
Attacking fans and insisting they’re the problem in service of your own toxic woke ideology isn’t a sound business plan. The backlash after turning once decent shows into woke cesspools shouldn’t come as a surprise. It’s hard to believe it’s not intentional at this point.
But carry on. Keep telling people not to watch. I’m happy to comply.
I’m have some of the comic books but haven’t watched the show. I guess I’m tired of hero deconstruction at the moment. Is the show really woke? I know there was a gender swap
It's undeniably woke, with just a touch of Amazon flexing on wokies for being their bottom bitches without wokies realizing it. That little flex has got some moderate conservatives and libertarian types to defend it, but it's ultimately still discharge from the cultural rot.
The bit that pokes fun at progs is that the evil mega corp gets away with being an evil mega corp by pandering to progs. It's not very deep, since it doesn't attack actual prog values, and it doesn't explicitly go into how progs are retarded, it's just an implied part of the world.
The irony is that the flexing is self-inflicted, because the production staff themselves are true believers. They don't think they're serfs for Lord Bezos, even while creating a product where one of the pillars holding up any suspension of disbelief is that progs are easily-manipulated retards.
The actors and producers are screaming because moderates laughing at how the show (barely) pokes fun at progs is signaling that The Boys isn't prog propaganda, when that was the staff's intent, so they have to counter-signal that.

I noticed this too. They make fun of Woke capital pandering, but Woke ideology default "good" position in the show.
Contrast that with how anything having to do with conservatism, patriotism, or Christianity is portrayed as some combination of ignorant, venal, hypocritical, and sinister.
In season 3, they're really hammering the "Homelander is Trump and his fans are MAGA idiots" metaphor with the subtlety of a pile driver.
Despite that, the show has kept my interest. I guess it's the characters.
Yeah, the few nods they make to the other side seem like they are just accidents, like the writers forgot the point they were making. For instance, at one point they have the media refer to stuff that Starlight (Erin Moriarty's character) is saying as "unfounded conspiracy theories", when the audience knows it's true and besides, Starlight is one of the few "good" characters on the show.
Way ahead of you, fellow white male. I started watching after a bunch of people told me it was really good - pirated it, of course - and I stopped halfway through the third episode, because it wasn't good, and the stupid #metoo plotline had the subtlety of a B-52 bomb run. Based on what I heard about later episodes and seasons, I didn't miss much.

...and closet fags
I liked Soulja Boy because he slapped that beta male like Connery after telling him he would do it.
Male fragility.
Antonio not simping for women? say It isn't so.
Anyways, yes, women are well known for projection.

Show me the "vein" you opened up, Princess.

Yep, htf did he turn into this pos
And those 5 yrs were the best
Are we sure lizard people are not real and he has not been replaced. Supernatural is way to manly for this to be the same dude

I didn’t even finish the first episode, so waaaay ahead of you fagboy. Uh, minus the dicks.
Can't stop if you never started. I've never enjoyed the tone of Garth Ennis's work - there's one panel from Preacher I like and that's it.
... Is it the "Not enough gun" panel?
It is.
I’m have some of the comic books but haven’t watched the show. I guess I’m tired of hero deconstruction at the moment. Is the show really woke? I know there was a gender swap
The show includes graphic rape and murder of men for no apparent reason. It's a sad feminist power fantasy.
I don’t remember that in the comic books. But I haven’t read them all
I doubt it's from the books. Sounds more like a female director addition.
Who got raped lmao I don't even remember
I watched the first season. It was okay. Not great but not horrible. I haven't watched season 2 or 3 because of the things I heard about it.

Yes. It hates white straight men who aren't betas.
One step ahead of him. I never started watching it.
I hate The Boys. I still can't believe they got away with including rape and torture of a man, as well as murder of a man during sex, in a TV show.
Actually, I can believe it. I just don't want to.
I miss The Grand Tour. But I'm not ever coming back to Prime.
My disdain for Garth Ennis ensured I’ll never watch it.

see who the producers and writers are. every single time.
