They literally don't understand the concept of a strong feminine character, so the strength of a female character must be her as a toxic masculine character by their own definition.

The Iron Law of Woke Projection never fails: feminism is internalised misogyny, and feminists want to oppress women for their own deranged pursuit of power.

This is why feminists brainwashed the young in the 60s into thinking that one is a bad/useless/unaccomplished woman if one is feminine (soft, tender, nurturing and selfless, sensitive, wanting to be lead, dependent, interested in building family and social activity, etc) rather than masculine (hard, strong, assertive, aloof, wants to lead, supportive, interested in things and processes, etc). And that's only part of the psychological clusterfuck kids these days are victim to.

1st Wave Feminists: "How can we, as a society, tolerate women folk being forced to work in mines!"

2nd Wave Feminists: "Men have kept women out of mining for years!"

3rd Wave Feminists: "Men have made mining dangerous for women!"

4th Wave Feminists: "The Patriachy, who are filed with wuhites, have made mining unsafe for breeders, which is denying climate change!"

The original post about Hinata was pretty good. Her character was in her belief in Naruto even when everyone hated him. She was willing to put herself through hell because she saw something in him and wanted to help bring his dream to fruition.

It's funny because one dude says that none of them have ever had a supportive girlfriend and they all downvoted him

Naruto is kinda based because it’s all about old school relationships and family strength forming strong communities.

Naruto is also progressive in the sense that it's about breaking down traditions and putting into questions hierarchal systems of the past that led to and continue to breed conflict for future generations.

Notice how there's very little mingling of clans before Naruto, with blood purity and clan loyalty being more important than even the Village, and post Naruto, Unity between the big 5 is the bigger cause, with massive mingling of the bloodlines (half Uchihas, half Hyugas, no more Branch family shit).

Naruto as a whole is a series of great ideas and themes bogged down by weak execution of its writing.

Big Mom in one piece would be a good example of a strong female. Ruthless, cast aside many men after banging them, top 4 in her time, and controls vast amounts of land and underlings

In their view, Rance (of the games of his own name) is a good example of a strong male. Ruthless, cast aside many women after banging them, top 4 in his time, and controls vast amounts of land and underlings.

Yet no sane man says Rance is a strong male character. He's a rapey psychopath. They list negative, disruptive, and authoritarian traits and say "that's what makes them strong", which to me says a lot more about the person posting than the character in question.

Deku of MHA is strong: he never gives up, trains in skills aimed at achieving his goals constantly, and is always focused on bettering not only himself, but those around him too.

In fiction narratives, "strong" is a mental trait, not a physical one, because a story will shift and allow for the success of a protagonist regardless of their physical prowess. This is true male or female. Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha is a strong female, for the exact same reasons as Deku.

Redditors believe men should act like Stepford Wives and women should act like African warlords. They're completely incapable of understanding nuance, so their idea of gender equality is reversing the stereotypical roles and then amplifying them a hundred times.

Nanoha is strong because if you refuse to talk like a reasonable person and instead try and successfully steal part of her soul she'll chase you down to another planet and snipe you from beyond the horizon, and use her devilish weapons to MAKE you listen and talk like a reasonable person.

Oh, she's strong magically/force-output-wise as well, of course. And she has a VERY strict line on how much shit she will take before she says "screw it, I tried, now you better prep yourself, because this staff is six feet long and has zero lubrication", but what makes her strong isn't her ability to put people in hospitals, it's who she is as a person. (Being willing to take SOME bullshit, but not endless bullshit, is also a pretty strong character trait. Turn the other cheek, everyone gets two chances, but fuck 'em up if they take advantage of that because you're empathetic and caring, but not a pushover.)

That sub hates Deku for 2 reasons: He's wiling to forgive his bully without making said bully grovel or suffer abject humiliation and they all still hate their bullies. I'm dead serious everytime it comes up a bunch of losers come out talking about how they're traumatized from high school bullying still

A lot of that is because most of those people would’ve jumped if Katsuki said that shit to them.

That is why Deku is a strong character and a hero, and they are not. Simple as that.

It is fine to acknowledge Deku is more forgiving than the average dub-only-anime-watcher, but that too is part of being a hero.

Nanoha is very based, yes. For her counter-punch, if you are foolish enough to reject the offer of peace and ignore the second chance after you smack her once, will level mountain ranges and put the fear of her into you.

Big Mom's like the worst example, she's a fucking monster(inb4 imp approves). There is tons of great female characters in shounen that don't need to be fucking monsters, there's tons that are also feminine yet still great characters. And no, having abs like Mikasa from AOT doesn't mean you are a strong female character, quite the opposite in fact. If I were to name my personal favorite specifically in shounen it's probably gonna be Maka from Soul Eater or Shampoo from Ranma...but I don't really care if a character's male of female, I care if it's a great character.

I am not dissing Big Mom btw, she's a great character but not one I'd call a great female character, she's quite the monster in her own regard.

What's their angle with shounen anyway? Shounen's for boys, it's in the fucking name no wonder you don't find the next War and Peace amongst it so some characters do fall flat. There's some examples where that's not true though(IMHO One Piece has got such great characters overall, amazing writing which is why I don't get the critique from the linked comments). Seems overall just reddit venting that they don't like certain characters in a genre predominantly aimed at boys.

"Shoujo manga has too many women in it, it needs more positive male representation, character growth, and strong male leads."

Like seriously, do these people even know what a "target market" is?

Mikasa is the very opposite of a strong female character. She's subservient to her bloodline, only doing what she does because it's her manifest destiny to do so.

Nay fool Akane us the best. Her initial dislike of Ranma is because she thought he was a degenerate man trying to play out a sexual fetish by pretending to be a woman. Hell half their arguments involve catching him with women's clothing or actually pretending to be a woman to advance his own interest

Shampoo from Ranma

Ironically you'd think they'd at least find Ukyo to be a model character. Yeah she falls for the same "desperate for her man" thing they hate, but she is also completely independent (unlike every other girl in the series), runs her own successful business, has dreams and goals outside just the man, and is capable of applying both masculine and feminine traits to herself as needed whenever she wants.

The actual peak of strong female character.

Ukyo is a great example, too...I might just have a thing for Shampoo and see her in a much better light, lol.

strong female characters in movies now behave like women and soyboys stereotype slimy chauvinistic men behavior:

  • overly emotional including yelling, cursing, breaking things

  • quick to violence

  • have random meaningless sex

  • treat everyone like garbage

  • ascends to power/leader status through physically fighting

  • as a leader, doesnt care for those he is leading, doesnt rely on them for anything

A woman's strength is defined by how many full grown 200lb men she can take down in hand to hand combat in a hollywood movie.

Real women outside of movies don't get to have strength in any capacity, due to combat issues. (To solve this, women should come fight me!)

One thing's for sure: there is no feminine strength outside of physical combat.

The thing is -when they make REAL strong and feminine characters they're immediately pilloried and despised because the stupid leftist, woke retards think they're MEN! (See - Gina Carano)

Apparently being female means to revolve one's life around men. To be defined by which men hurt them, and which men they want revenge against.

God these people are shallow.
