If global worming does become an actual issue is still insane. It would kill most plants and probably a lot of humans.
Right now I am suppose to be terrified that we have an increase of 1 degree in the last 100 years and it is projected to reach 1.5 degrees Celsius.
And additionally it's not evenly distributed. The greenhouse effect disproportionately warms colder parts of the planet and nights and winters. So even if 1.5 degrees is correct (it's not imo) it wouldn't be much hotter in Riyadh in summer but it would be warmer in Moscow during winter which uh doesn't sound bad.
Thought was some Killing Joke song until I checked the link. Jaz Coleman seems pretty based what with the songs he's written. I really need to get on doing a post on them. Some of their material sounds downright prescient in light of the last few years.
“You egomaniacal idiot” Malcolm said, in fury. “Do you have any idea what you are talking about? You think you can destroy the planet? My, what intoxicating power you must have.” Malcolm sank back on the bed. “You can't destroy this planet. You can't even come close.”
“Most people believe,” Hammond said stiffly, “that the planet is in jeopardy.”
“Well, it's not,” Malcolm said.
“All the experts agree that our planet is in trouble.”
....
Malcolm sighed. “Let me tell you about our planet,” he said. “Our planet is four and a half billion years old. There has been life on this planet for nearly that long. Three point eight billion years. The first bacteria. And, later, the first multicellular animals, then the first complex creatures, in the sea, on the land. Then the great sweeping ages of animals-the amphibians, the dinosaurs, the mammals, each lasting millions upon millions of years.
Great dynasties of creatures arising, flourishing, dying away, All this happening against a background of continuous and violent upheaval, mountain ranges thrust up and eroded away, cometary impacts, volcanic eruptions, oceans rising and falling, whole continents moving . . . Endless constant and violent change . . . Even today, the greatest geographical feature on the planet comes from two great continents colliding, buckling to make the Himalayan mountain range over millions of years. The planet has survived everything, in its time. It will certainly survive us.”
....
Hammond looked irritated. “So what is your point? That modern pollutants will be incorporated, too?”
“No,” Malcolm said. “My point is that life on earth can take care of itself. In the thinking of a human being, a hundred years is a long time. A hundred years ago, we didn't have cars and airplanes and computers and vaccines. . . . It was a whole different world. But to the earth, a hundred years is nothing. A million years is nothing. This planet lives and breathes on a much vaster scale. We can't imagine its slow and powerful rhythms, and we haven't got the humility to try. We have been residents here for the blink of an eye. If we are gone tomorrow, the earth will not miss us.”
And we very well might be gone," Hammond said, huffing.
“Yes,” Malcolm said. “We might.”
“So what are you saying? We shouldn't care about the environment?”
“No, of course not.”
“Then what?”
Malcolm coughed, and stared into the distance. “Let's be clear. The planet is not in jeopardy. We are in jeopardy. We haven't got the power to destroy the planet - or to save it..."
Not in article: Globalists scared of climate change purchase beach-front property, fly in private jets, and regulate nuclear power out of existence.
Might be an interesting experiment to give the climatologists screaming about climate change enormous sums of money and see how they spend it.

Now they're taking notes from C. Montgomery Burns.
That's just as retarded as the idea of nuking Mars.

Hey this isn't Arrakis we're talking about.
tangentially related and also I'm old

They didn't have global warming when we used to sacrifice virgin women to the gods via volcano.
A major volcanic eruption will do it for us!

I wish we could block out the sun and freeze all the useless people to death

Not sure if this song is predictive programming at this point or was spot on...
Lyrics for "We Will Rise Again"
[Verse 1]
In the west shall rise, a sinister creed
The rich will get what they want, the poor will lose what they need
The devil knows our fears, he told all his friends
They'll block the sun with their lies, as darkness descends
[Chorus]
Oh Lord, the Great Collapse
Won't be our end
When the world falls into the flames
We will rise again
We will rise again
[Verse 2]
Let the wars begin, we'll keep our pistols near
Our neighbors frail and thin, as they disappear
Let the chaos come, let our houses freeze
The lights will all go out, but we'll finally see
[Chorus]
Oh Lord, the Great Collapse
Won't be our end
When the world falls into the flames
We will rise again
We will rise again
[Verse 3]
When the sky has cleared, and the storm has passed
We'll walk arm in arm, down our promised path
We'll watch the sun come up, from its bed of black
We'll enter Eden's Garden, and never look back
[Chorus]
Oh Lord, the Great Collapse
Won't be our end
When the world falls into the flames
We will rise again
We will rise again

We're geoengineering everyday, just not with a particular goal of reducing heat.
If you're afraid of geoengineering you're afraid of the modern world.
Isn't Bill Gates funding some of this shit? https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a35938287/bill-gates-solar-geoengineering-block-sunlight-research/
Wasn't this an episode of Futurama?
Or we could export our excess heat to space. It's just as unfeasible, but less likely to ruin the planet if some idiot decides to do it.
You know this does to me, a supporter of a cleaner environment: BURN MORE FUCKING COAL!
That's not a new idea. It's not that they'd totally block the sun, just a certain amount.
Sounds like literally the exact opposite of a sensible and effective solution
So when are they going to do it
....
simpsons did it
