If it was a remake with some combat improvements and graphics, maybe add a sidequest planet or two, I would have. The way combat was in KOTOR did not feel satisfactory.
But they want to deconstruct and then "diversify", I'm not going to pay for that. Any side quest they add it will be sjw inspired trash and any improvement to combat and graphics will not make up for turning the game in to woke trash.
I pirated and played through the updated FF8 PC version because a lot of PS graphics in general look dated. I refused to pay for it out of principle after learning that they censored Rinoa's and Siren's tits, but the remaster was otherwise good. Graphic and engine updates are fine and acceptable, but this race-swapped, gender-swapped, censored bullshit is terrible.
If it was just the combat system, I'd say that's a valid choice. The original games used the Dungeons and Dragons 3rd edition ruleset, which obviously has to sacrifice a lot to be something you can reasonably simulate by hand. Turning it from a turn based RPG with a real time facade into a true real time RPG could be a good thing. But if they're also changing the race and gender of characters they're obviously just fixing things that aren't broken - I can't think of anything in KOTOR like Broxigar that needs to be taken out the back and shot.

Given the current climate, I'm not even sure how a game like KOTOR could be made. The women are supposed to be sexy, the jokes dark and funny, and you have themes of slavery and other moral topics that are interesting but too offensive for a modern writer to do properly.
I don't even get the race and gender swap thing. The original KOTOR already had different races and genders everywhere. Why swap anything? Make a new story if that's what you want to do.
Can't come up with shit of their own that's any good, gotta remake and destroy something that was already successful.

I have both Dark Souls, both DS2, both Etrian Odyssey, both EO2. If I enjoy a game enough, I'll buy a remaster. I think I have 4 different FF1's.
