This was not surprising once you looked into who was writing the story. If it's not a man, it's not going to be any good.

Given the current climate, I'm not even sure how a game like KOTOR could be made. The women are supposed to be sexy, the jokes dark and funny, and you have themes of slavery and other moral topics that are interesting but too offensive for a modern writer to do properly.

I don't even get the race and gender swap thing. The original KOTOR already had different races and genders everywhere. Why swap anything? Make a new story if that's what you want to do.
