For all the people yesterday who said "Conservatives need to vote; I don't understand why they don't want to vote" this is why.

Voting is only important if you're voting for based people, and based people are only really running in local elections. Vote for a sheriff who will make a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County and who will refuse to arrest people defending themselves and refuse to enforce executive "orders". Or for school board members who swear an oath to go scorched earth on anti-white teachers and administrators.

Voting for creatures like this only encourages them.

Local elections are always the most important.

My point yesterday was that if we don't vote then the Dems don't even have to try to rig elections. I still stand by my assessment wholeheartedly.

Youngkin is a globalist rat but that doesn't mean we should cease voting at all.

Explain to me why voting a party controlled by Jews will make any goddamn difference? The US is done and the system is ineffective, weak and beyond futile. Not worth conserving. The only thing conservatives conserve is consoom product, conserve Israel and the garbage lack of culture and even the retarded fiat monetary system.

Anyone who doesn't oppose the mandates, whether mask or vaccine is clearly not for the people and certainly doesn't represent the people that even voted him in.

You're saying local elections bring the best people

I did not say that. I said that local elections were more likely to have more based people. Which is true, because local politics is much higher variance than State, which is much higher variance than Federal. Local politics is also much more likely to have people further to the left. See for example Florida, where counties and cities are ignoring State orders prohibiting mask (and I think vaccination) mandates.

So which is it?

I want my side to win however they can. In most states that will be by seizing control of local governments, but if the State government is more based then I'm OK with that too. Notice I didn't say "don't vote in State elections"; I said "don't vote for swamp creatures just because they have an (R) behind their name".

The truck driver's an interesting case. I mentioned in another post, but what seems likely to happen is he'll have the same sort of Heritage Foundation and Better Business Bureau staffers assigned to him as every other politician, and they will make sure he "understands" the issues.

That is another thing the left is good at: the most boring centrist democrat will have staffers who are members of the Socialist Party writing policy papers and opinion pieces. And likely advising on how to vote on bills. Probably gets ignored 90% of the time, but over time it shifts the Overton Window.

Though of course the left gets away with it more easily: it would be much harder for a republican to have someone on staff who had worked at American Renaissance for example.

One potential counterpoint, if he can stop it statewide the next one can easily reinstate it. If it's left to the local level all it takes is enough towns and counties saying no to put pressure on those trying to do it as they lose business, school children, and people even move out to more free counties and towns. That's why they push this stuff from the state level so as to try and crush the "rebellious" areas.

This is the best possible move for a conservative to make. Local governments should be the only ones appointing mandates, because they're the ones the average person has the most say in. If you dont want them to enact a mandate, fucking speak up at a town hall, organize with your neighbors, make your voices heard. Local government is where you have the most power, and he's giving it to you.

As someone who lives in Virginia I'll put in my 2 cents. I wanted Amanda Chase for Governor. She was the most popular candidate, but many Republicans didn't vote for her in the primary because she had no chance of winning with the current political situation out here. Youngkin is possibly what many of you say, who knows, he hasn't even started yet. Not overriding local mandates doesn't affect me at all. I moved from Northern Virginia where all the democrats live to a more rural area just for this reason. We won't have any restrictions. If Mcauliffe would have won it would have been like California out here. If a few democrat counties want to do their own mandates it will just push more money and jobs into the red ones. Youngkin will be better than Mcauliffe and Northam. Not voting is not a good option imo.
