I justh love love love KICKASS babes. You know, real kickass babes. Like big muscles, nasty cunt BABES. Love love love. Love seeing women in men's roles. Oh yeah. KICK ASS BABES.
Who are they even making these movies for? Women hate this crap (they watch 99% drama and romance).
Believe it or not but it actually turned me off from the game. It would be fun otherwise, but every time you deal with a witch, he turns into some beta puppy and follows them around doing their chores and taking insults from them.
It’s so beta that I couldn’t think of him as a badass anymore.
That of all of them, angered me the most. I love the books and it would have been cool to see what lots of creative people could do with the material. Instead I spit on this show and the people who made it and will never watch it and will call anyone who does a craven faggot.
The sad thing about Dune, is that there is plenty of what they want to force, later in the series. The woman that the God Emperor Leto falls for, she's black, also his enforcement arm the Fish Speakers are all female. Then you get the political power structure at the end is dominated by the Bene Gesserit and Honored Matres, both female.
I was going to say, watch them make Duncan Idaho a black female once his ghola comes up, but they cast Jason Momoa, which leads to all sorts of kvetching about the casting.
The woman that the God Emperor Leto falls for, she's black
Sincere question, based on what? Because a lot of depictions of her she isn't black.
they cast Jason Momoa
He needs a better agent to get roles beyond "notable character in a book series who dies early on" just like his role as Drogo in A Song of Ice and Fire 🙄
I should also probably mention that Momoa would probably make a great Gurney Halleck, as he was not a small man; or an even better Beast Rabban. But Duncan Idaho is not the size of a doorway.
That's not really a good thing given he was cast with Amber Heard and looks to be walking the company line regarding the ongoing [literal] shitstorm involving her and Depp.
He also massively simped for Dany at the end of GoT [he literally livestreamed his reaction to the finale which involved lots of angry grunts and shouting at what they did to her character] which admittedly was more justified because the series was beyond a clusterfuck in terms of pacing to get to the ending that GRRM supposedly was aiming for in the books too, and overall the ending screwed over multiple characters not just Dany.
The description of Hwi Noree on page 205 of God Emperor of Dune.
"She did have that dark skin, though, the oval face with its regular features. Placid brown eyes stared back at Leto. And where Malky's hair had been grey, hers was a luminous brown."
Also, this might be the biggest part for Momoa, since the rumored plan was to adapt ALL THE BOOKS, and Duncan Idaho is all six.
Also, this might be the biggest part for Momoa, since the rumored plan was to adapt ALL THE BOOKS, and Duncan Idaho is all six.
Maybe. Depending on their pacing though he might have a lot of downtime seeing as how he originally dies early ish in Dune, reappears and dies again in Children of Dune, then his later appearances are sporadic across 3500 years and could be done entirely via a montage before the final story leading up to the bridge and beyond.
That kind of long term casting lock can cause problems for actors at times which outweigh the potential benefits. Look at Kit Harrington when he was Jon Snow in GoT. He was contractually obliged to not cut his hair while the show was ongoing, although they did change his hairstyle slightly in the later seasons. It's a similar problem that resulted in the CGI-tache coverup in Justice League because Henry Cavill was still shooting Mission Impossible at the time.
Momoa isn't likely to change body wise as much as he has since his starts on Baywatch and [from a more geek/nerd PoV] Stargate: Atlantis as Ronon Dex but he's certainly changed his hair significantly at times seeing as how he was wearing a wig [of his own dreads] in the last season of SGA after cutting off his dreadlocks due to the weight they were putting on his head/neck: https://i.redd.it/tlxz7165lsp51.jpg
I strictly watch shows and movies made prior to 2000 and ideally prior to 1990. Very rarely give anything post 2000 a chance and certainly brand new ones via streaming they are all awful. Fortunately there is a shit ton of old stuff out there for free.
You are a soldier. My cutoff date is 2015. After it looked like Trump was the leading candidate for the GOP in 2016 the entire entertainment media apparatus changed & has never been the same since.
Sure, I'm watching The President's Plane is Missing, a TV movie from 1973. It's pretty good! Comments are funny, wishing for a 2021 version of the movie. https://www.bitchute.com/video/2k89RRdn4r0h/
AppleTV is woke trash. Could barely get through the 1st episode of Mythic Quest. Gotta be beaten over the head.. here's an asian woman, a black woman, a brown guy..
I just looked at the casting on IMDB - both Gaal Dornick and Salvor Hardin are black women now? Are these people serious? I don't know how many books they are planning on covering in the series but there are plenty of actually female central characters like Beta Daryl and Arcadia Daryl who are central characters to the story that they could have made black in a couple series time.
Just like making Leit Kynes a black woman in Dune.
Not a good sign. I thought they were just adding new characters, didn't know they had deliberately sex-switched anyone.
You know what would be cool though? If people took modern series and edited out the woke bits. So instead of a full Foundation series, you'd basically have a short movie. You could enjoy the special effects but with no woke or boring parts. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
The woke is DEEP inside all aspects. From overall themes, how scenes are shot and framed, who speaks which lines not just the words or the race of actors. How lighting is done on various symbols or symbolic representations. Everything. Every single creative aspect.
It’s like people saying the 1990s weren’t woke. Yes they were it just got you subconsciously, programming and conditioning you and you didn’t even notice.
That's very true. I think a few modern films and series have salvageable parts, but a lot of time (unfortunately) Holywood and Netflix know what they're doing - at least when it comes to making subtly woke content. The good news is they're still clueless when it comes to making entertaining stuff.
It’s like people saying the 1990s weren’t woke. Yes they were it just got you subconsciously, programming and conditioning you and you didn’t even notice.
That's a really good point and should be brought up more. I've noticed pseudo-woke themes in films made as long as 50 years ago, and some older.
I guess the positive spin on that is that the wokes have been trying for a looong time to win, since the French Revolution or even earlier, but they keep running up against human nature and the desire for freedom.
I started watching Without Remorse on Amazon the other day. Didn’t finish. From the first half-hour I could tell they had just butchered one of my favorite books…
Honestly I just didn't like how it was adapted for the modern era. It just doesn't work. It has virtually no relation to the original novel. Just like how "Sum of all Fears" was changed - although that was still watchable.
On top of blackwashing it's a massive age change in the character as the 2001 UK adaptation 'Mean Machine' had the character of 'Caretaker' known as 'Doc' played by David Kelly [who is probably better known by younger audiences as Grandpa Joe from the Depp remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0446303/
Steadman was 65. David Kelly was 72. Chris Rock was only 40. Sure "black don't crack" but both Steadman and Kelly were very visibly old men which was the point of the character in the movies.
Side note: The 2005 remake did in general have some very out there casting picks with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldberg, and Kevin Nash from WWF/WWE/WCW fame. Also included Nelly, Terry Crews, Tracy Morgan, Robb Schneider [because of course when Adam Sandler is the lead], and Courteney Cox.
Finally sorted the issue that forbade me from having it... Turns out, crypto addresses were a no no haha
Anyway, much easier to update. Less headaches to me, and I can keep the count automatic as to how many creatively bankrupt characters hollywood decided to poop out!
Given you have a few comments on some of the changes I'd strongly recommend you include the casting of Domino in Deadpool 2 directly resulted in a dead stuntwoman. Not intended as gravedancing just one of the most severe tangible consequences of wokewashing.
And to make it even worse - apparently some of the more skilled stuntmen DIDNT think she was ready for the stunt, and they STILL had her do it. # WOKE KILLS
And she wasnt trained as a stuntwoman -terrible all around.
I'm surprised it wasn't a complete black cast. Then again, not even progressives believe they could get to the stars, let alone build an empire across the universe on their own.
“Race and gender shouldn’t matter in casting!!!!”
“It’s racist to make a minority character white!!!”
Funny how that works
Casual "trolling" reminder whites are a global minority.
Make the white characters white, or your a racist!
That happens regardless at this point.
Exactly!
Show is written by the same guy who write Terminator Dark Fate, what a shocker
I justh love love love KICKASS babes. You know, real kickass babes. Like big muscles, nasty cunt BABES. Love love love. Love seeing women in men's roles. Oh yeah. KICK ASS BABES.
Who are they even making these movies for? Women hate this crap (they watch 99% drama and romance).
So true. Geralt is the ultimate simp.
Welp that settles it, I was interested in playing the witcher since everyone seemed to like it, but theres no way I supporting a simp.
Believe it or not but it actually turned me off from the game. It would be fun otherwise, but every time you deal with a witch, he turns into some beta puppy and follows them around doing their chores and taking insults from them.
It’s so beta that I couldn’t think of him as a badass anymore.
Edit: lol that's 3 beta males who disagree.
Ah, I see you too are a fine connoisseur of the Valkyrie Bitch.
In 3 generations we went from writers like Asimov to that phaggot. Jesus fucking wept.

They are doing the same shit with the Wheel of Time tv series. Check out the casting roles https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7462410/
If you've read the series you know this is horseshit.
And the dune series.
That of all of them, angered me the most. I love the books and it would have been cool to see what lots of creative people could do with the material. Instead I spit on this show and the people who made it and will never watch it and will call anyone who does a craven faggot.

Wasnt he aquaman after that?

Why are they finally making adaptations of series that fans wanted for a very long time, only to turn them into ultra woke absolute dumpster fires?
It is about obliterating white culture.
Ah yes, that culture they claimed doesn't exist in the first place while simultaneously focusing every effort on to remove!
We were never at war.
We were always at war.
This is the right answer. Either turn it into a propaganda tool or destroy it. Lose-Lose for white western culture.
I strictly watch shows and movies made prior to 2000 and ideally prior to 1990. Very rarely give anything post 2000 a chance and certainly brand new ones via streaming they are all awful. Fortunately there is a shit ton of old stuff out there for free.
Hell Comes to Frogtown
An all time classic surpassed only by They Live.
Daily reminder it's free on YT Quite possibly my second favorite movie of all time.
You are a soldier. My cutoff date is 2015. After it looked like Trump was the leading candidate for the GOP in 2016 the entire entertainment media apparatus changed & has never been the same since.
This is a great rule of thumb to follow. There are also some good lists of movies with no woke content out there on the web.
We should be upholding the good examples as much as we highlight the bad ones

They could rename it the presidents press office is missing, replay clips of the current afghan fuckup, and itd be a great unintentional comedy.
AppleTV is woke trash. Could barely get through the 1st episode of Mythic Quest. Gotta be beaten over the head.. here's an asian woman, a black woman, a brown guy..
it's called representation and here's why you're a bigot for thinking it's forced, insulting (to everyone), and lazy.
every group of nerds has AT LEAST three black brown guys, and if you dont, THEN YOUR RACIST NIGGA

No. The evil needs to be stopped, not worked around.
Obviously don't subscribe to any of these services or give them any money.

As a Stefano Sollima fan boy, it's his only piece of work I've stated away from.

2 things;
I'm writing up a proof-read of the current list so going to be throwing a massive DM at you at some point tonight >.>
I have an entry for you regarding a movie remake:
1974 movie called 'The Longest Yard' with Burt Reynolds in the lead role: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071771/
Adam Sandler remake in 2005 that also included Burt Reynolds as the coach role this time: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0398165/?ref_=ttmi_tt
Character called 'Caretaker' who in 1974 was played by John Steadman: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0824113/?ref_=nm_mv_close
2005 version cast Chris Rock: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001674/?ref_=nmmi_mi_nm
Steadman as Caretaker: https://i.imgur.com/aRbiz1d.jpg
Kelly as Doc on the right: https://i.imgur.com/1kLE46m.jpg
Rock as Caretaker: https://i.imgur.com/Pc8OnbV.jpg
Side note: The 2005 remake did in general have some very out there casting picks with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldberg, and Kevin Nash from WWF/WWE/WCW fame. Also included Nelly, Terry Crews, Tracy Morgan, Robb Schneider [because of course when Adam Sandler is the lead], and Courteney Cox.
Was "only" 4000 words in the end :>
Thank you! added it to the list!!
Bravo! I see you have a Substack now.
Finally sorted the issue that forbade me from having it... Turns out, crypto addresses were a no no haha
Anyway, much easier to update. Less headaches to me, and I can keep the count automatic as to how many creatively bankrupt characters hollywood decided to poop out!
Thanks!
Given you have a few comments on some of the changes I'd strongly recommend you include the casting of Domino in Deadpool 2 directly resulted in a dead stuntwoman. Not intended as gravedancing just one of the most severe tangible consequences of wokewashing.
So far.
Oh, shit! Forgot about this when I finished editing it... One sec! Adding it now!
And to make it even worse - apparently some of the more skilled stuntmen DIDNT think she was ready for the stunt, and they STILL had her do it. # WOKE KILLS
And she wasnt trained as a stuntwoman -terrible all around.
Exactly.
All because of fear of being labelled "black face".
I'm surprised it wasn't a complete black cast. Then again, not even progressives believe they could get to the stars, let alone build an empire across the universe on their own.
Wakanda literally has an intergalactic space empire in the Marvel comics these days 😐
Color me surprised. I would think such a thing would be against their very nature.
And not watching it. Will just read the books. I recently bought it.
Agreed. looks like a black man though op.
