A response by BioWare writer, actually wearing his blue checkmark of the Beast on top of his head, to TSR's statement of "In today's hyperpolarized culture, we have a firm commitment to #KeepGamingFantasy. We invite you to escape with us." (twitter.com)

Somewhere along the way, they outgrew you. And some of us grew along with them.

So Dragon Age is somehow more "grown," more mature than The Lord of the Rings, is it?

Our table holds a lot more than yours.

Well perhaps he doesn't mean grew up, but rather means grew out.

I can't argue with that. Their "fantasy" is, after all, self-indulging and gluttonous. It exchanges actually mature themes and thoughtful exploration of issues for "these baddies represent my real-world political enemies and allow me to experience my fantasy of killing them."

You can keep your big boy buffet table with tons of plates piled high with sub-Golden Corral slop, Patrick.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

O wow, good for TSR, I'm trying to not be hyped but a non-political new RPG would be great.

I love how the majority of the replies are either "lol Bioware sucks and hasn't had a good game in over a decade, fuck off" or "you're arguing against a strawman, fuck off". Dim bulbs like this asshole are exactly the reason why Bioware is in the shitter and just further go to prove that while gaming should be inclusive, gatekeeping people like him out should be enforced.

gaming should be inclusive

Dont accept their premise. How was it not "inclusive" in the past? How did that lack of "inclusivity" prevent anyone from making games that met whatever requirements they imagine an "inclusive" game has?

Everybody needs representation! Wait who did characters like Sonic and Kirby represent? Everybody, that's who.

The cunts who made fun of you in school for your hobbies are now telling you to be inclusive.

Oh, I'm not saying the hobby wasn't already inclusive - any RPG, by default, is as inclusive as the GM wants it to be. It doesn't need "combat wheelchairs" or non-racial bonuses, or any of the other bullshit that the wokies are trying to shoehorn into it.

The sad part of it all is that the parasites just don't know how to create their own material and succeed with it. Nothing prevents them from knocking together their own "inclusive" junk that isn't some sort of virtue-signaling circle-jerk, but they just can't. They lack the originality of thought and imagination to come up with plausible, internally-consistent material that doesn't reek of being derivative, propaganda-based garbage, so they co-opt existing, popular material and ride on its coat-tails.

Nobody stoped my socially akward ass from gaming as my main hobby ( untill chronic pain worsened ). It was a refuge and I made some friends from my own nation and different nations over sharing games. That was "inclusive" enough.

Nobody stops me now from browsing to watch some entertainer in whatever language to vicariously enjoy that part of my life taken from me.

The "must strive for inclusivity" narrative is the SJW opening to shove their agenda and incrust themselves in.

Mutiple things.

Bringing the attention to your hair is only ever a good idea if you have great hair. As he would say, yikes.

Second, I love these schmucks who make these big speeches on Twitter, but in real life he would just snivel and have the mannerisms of some suburban Karen. Grow balls.

Third, I knew I have heard his name before. I tried reading one of his books. It was juvenile, preachy, shittily written, typical SJW UWU funnies crap. An even worse version of Whedon.
I also distinctly remember the character having two conversations simultaneously and neither making sense or being entertaining. I quit after a few pages.
It also has a shapeshifting unicorn, who looks for virgins to fuck them. What makes me think that in a few years we will hear about our Patrick (they them pronouns, not threatening at all) awkwardly fucking noseringed female underlings?

Go to a game developers convention (any, not necessarily gdc) or an independent game developers association (igda) meet up. They are everywhere. A lot are unemployed, but sadly not all.

They’re all in the AAA games industry because they’ve created a natural filter. If you have the software engineering skills to justify a decent job at one of these corporate studios you’d have to be hyper passionate about the field to take on the shitty quality of life and pay that’s comparatively low to a “regular” tech job. BUT, if you’re actually passionate about games you’d never actually want to work at EA or Activision in the first place. The only people they can keep are lunatics like these and they’re just continuing to coalesce.

Our table holds a lot more than yours.

Sales trends suggest otherwise.

Anyways, leftists are clearly a virus that invades hobbies and communities in order to turn them into centers for further leftist activism. That's literally what's happening everywhere. They tell you this isn't happening because they don't want you to say "no, this space isn't all about your pet politics, and human beings have a right to exist outside of your influence".

You don't own fantasy or gaming either, asshole. And if your table is so much bigger, why the fuck do you care if this other table exists?

Probably because you're not nearly as grown up as you claim you are. Or inclusive.
