I have a co-worker who currently has cancer and is pretty scared. She was pissed when she found out that most of us won't be taking the vaccine. Even SHE got pissed when she saw the "two mask recommendation" because, in her words "I already can't fucking breathe in this thing and now they want me to wear another one!"
Theyre lucky to get one out of me and thats because its mandatory, they can fuck right off and if some stasi tries checking, theyre getting a deep chest cough.

Don't know why I hadn't thought of it sooner. Everyone knows masks don't work but we have to keep wearing them because 3M (and their ilk) manufactured 5 years worth of overstock, so we will be required to wear them until they sell off their inventory.

The point of the masks is to prevent infected people from contaminating surfaces and other people by catching exhaled aerosols that might contain the virus. Respirators are mainly intended to filter inhaled air - they often use one-way valves to bypass the filter altogether when exhaling.

In Germany they've increased the requirements: no more "any mask goes". It's now medical masks only, i.e. surgery masks or FFP2/N95.
I still got 45 surgery masks left over because I bought a 50 when this whole shitshow started. I wonder how many masks I can wear at the same time ...
