Given the outcome of the shitshow in DC today, do we have a Plan C for where to go after this? I have a feeling the .win family is going to be targeted soon and wanted to know where the current backups are.
Edit: Well shit, that escalated quick... see TDW for details in this thread: https://thedonald.win/p/11RhAqC6sa/mods-are-compromised/
Frogs realize the water is hot. Let's see what's hoppin.
We wait patiently to be dragged into windowless train cars for the crime of being male.
How many members of the Nazi party got sent to the gas chambers?
It absolutely will only be us.
I was pretty disappointed in today. The protesters clearly blew their load too early. I don't understand why people can't learn from antifa's tactics. They should have planned to be there for the long haul. Antifa was out Burning, Looting, and Murdering for three months straight.
These MAGA protesters are likely all going to go home tomorrow, satisfied that they worked their frustration out, and nothing will change.
We like to call antifa LARPers, but these people were LARPers in the truest sense. At the very least, antifa dedicate themselves fully to their cause, the MAGA protesters can't even come close to that.
Well, they did the opposite of what I thought they would do. I assumed they would hold a Trump rally. Instead they made international headlines, created a massive symbolic victory over the establishment, generated a martyr, and may become a centralizing and galvanizing point in American politics and culture for years to come.
I think you all are looking at this in totally the wrong perspective. Trump was never going to win today, and was (from what I can tell) preparing to leave office. He would not have gone out with a whimper, but this? Nobody planned this. People were just done with everything and took power for themselves.
That takeaway might be the most important aspect of everything. The right are being slowly, but surely, fully activated. The spirit of this moment is going to live on in a lot of people's minds as governors, congress, Harris, and Biden institute crazier and crazier lockdowns and restrictions. Civil Disobedience is going to become the norm against these actions. More activism is going to take place, not less. I still see State Secessionism as a possibility in some places.
I tell you this hurt the establishment in a way that that you probably don't understand. They were fucking humiliated. I agree with Barnes that somebody probably was looking to cause significant violence to take place, and instead the Establishment couldn't hold it's own center of power against a bunch of Grillers, some veterans, some Nick Fuentes fans, and a Zoomer in a funny hat. There is no action that could have undermined their status and perception of power more than what happened today.
This is a victory, whether it tactically appears to be one in the short term or not.
Lol they walked in and started posing for selfies. The establishment was effectively tea bagged in front of the entire world.
The problem with everything you just said is that it all happened in one day. When Biden takes office, all this will have already left the mind of the masses.
Now, if I turn out to be wrong, and these people turn out tomorrow and a week from now and a month from now, then I'll eat my words. But I don't see that happening, and THATS the only way I see significant change coming from this. Antifa showed us how its done. We all thought the summer of love would backfire horribly on them, and it turned out the opposite.
Don't get me wrong, its great that they forced politicians and staffers to cower in fear, but the same thing needs to happen again tomorrow and every day from now on. I don't think these people have the will to make that happen, especially in the face of increasing force from the jackboots.
That's because the left are operating off of power, and the right are operating off of principles. It didn't turn back on them because it unified the power-oriented left. It drove away many principled leftists, as it always does. (AKA useful idiots)
The right can't be wielded this way. They don't respond well to arguments from power, only from principle. As such, the right, naturally, end up in a defensive posture with the left attacking them. The difference is that the right has weakened it's personal defenses over the decades, and need to remoralize themselves in order to resist leftist aggression, by dismissing their arguments from power. This is why Civil Disobedience will work fine.
And to be clear, the left DID NOT effect ANY political change. The Leftists were being used as foot-soldiers of the establishment to create a counter-revolution, that would cull the Left. The establishment unified the Left by abusing them. The opposite will happen when they do it to the right.
We are not a counter-revolution. Violence in your aggression will actually get you nothing but the blowback you are currently seeing. The violence will unify the Left every time, and you'll lose that fight inevitably.
Instead, you have to undermine their arguments from power by de-legitimizing them, and rebuffing their attacks. Offensive violence will not win you anything because you are not the Left, and you are not the establishment.
Considering the victory of trumps election humiliated them and they resolved that issue by going full ahead and as you said skip the Fabian part of their doctrine(if I remember correctly) what will they skip this time?
Mercy.
They are effectively in a power-bubble for a litany of reasons. It's not really different then their attempts at printing money. They promise more money, print out tons of it, expand the money supply in utterly irrational efforts, and de-legitimize it with every step until the whole thing collapses in on itself. People who are outside of their system are "hording" money and need to 'get on board with the system'. That's why they start confiscating. A parallel system is intolerable. The more they seize, the more they promise, and the more they have to seize to keep the system running. Every step it gets more and more frantic.
They do the same thing with power. The more they promise, the more the bureaucracy grows, the more power is devalued because it is worthless and effects no change on the bloated institution. They expand more and more aggressively to sustain more promises for power to keep the support they have. When people refuse and form parallel systems of power, it threatens the stability of their system because theirs requires a monopoly. Everything must be seized. Everyone who isn't part of the system must either be purged or forced in. They will tolerate dissent less and less, and become more hysterical with each passing day, and every passing slight until...
pop
We dig in. We bury ourselves deep. The forest fire pass over us. Like the fire, it will not show mercy, but we will not need it's mercy. It will burn, it will flame, it will scorch, it will hiss, it will roar, it will howl, and then it will die quietly in a crackle, a sizzle, and a whimper. Then, we shall grow in the ash like the mighty pine.
Be The Pinecone
Considering I do not think their earlier behaviour was merciful... (more like disinterest which probably is their view of mercy.) that bodes well, so the question then is how far their lack of mercy will drive them, aka how many steps separated do you have to be. Oh well, atleast it will be interesting times. So the step is to endure until the maintenance of the system cannot be performed anymore, that could be a while depending on a lot of variables, would you say it is a postive then that they will try to make it so their rule is dependent on tech? I would argue that it is due to it having a higher maintenance (and logistics) then older systems aswell as requiring to some extent more trained custodians, which I see as potential for more dissidents being created by their own training.
It's to endure the storm not just the maintenance. The storm exists because the maintenance is too high.
I also don't think it will be too long either, we're already locked into the direction of travel, and no one can back out now, even if they wanted to.
As a guy familiar with computers, I don't trust them. Boomers mistakenly do. So yeah, I would absolutely say that their rule being dependent on tech is a significant weak point. New weak spots emerge faster than you can defend them.
I agree to a point. This is absolutely psychological and emotional abuse on an industrial scale. However, there's a timing issue at play with the monetary supply.
They will want to continue the suppression as long as they can until they can push out the digital currency. Once they have a digital currency in place, they will effectively go into intentional hyper-inflation. If they go into hyper-inflation early after having devalued the currency, it will destroy them. The only way to keep the inflation law is by slowing the velocity of the currency, which means severely restricting movement and spending of that currency.
Frankly, this is the actual reason for all of the lockdowns anyway. The growth of the economy was going to pop the bubble because it was increasing velocity due to growth. That would have caused the inflation then and there. But then once the virus spread, they were going to take a huge deflationary hit, so they locked the planet down to slow the exchange of money and keep velocity low.
They'll keep velocity as low as possible, then release it all at once when a new digital currency is in place. Then everyone will spend like lunatics in a pitched frenzy. They think this will keep the system going... maybe forever. But they're dead wrong.
The time scale for this is already too long. The digital wallets aren't supposed to be ready until December of this year. They are planning to keep the lockdown going until June. That means they'll have to slow everything down even further. More lockdowns, harder lockdowns, and longer ones. Politically, it'll be a disaster. With what just happened, the legitimacy of the establishment is already thread bare. Civil Disobedience is going to be normalized.
I don't think they can drag this out for another year without everything shattering.
Quite right. It may not seem like much now, but I'm sure the same could have been said of the Boston Massacre back in 1770. The reverberations of 6th January 2021 may be felt for a long time to come.
I know. I didn't even say that I like what happened, or that it was a good idea.
What it will become, however, will be a permanent symbol that the establishment doesn't have the power that people think it does. They are reacting violently, not to real damage, but to humiliation. The undermining of their legitimacy is what hurt them. That is also why they will respond with violence. But when they do, and some normie gets beaten to a pulp in the street by a 'neighborhood watch patrol' to monitor the latest red-lined COVID lockdown, the angry neighbors and community will remember that some retards took over the capitol building out of nothing but sheer will. No backing, no organization, and no plan.
Imagine what would happen to a group of people who were genuinely resisting dire tyranny, but had a plan, had support, and had the will to fight because they knew they were fighting people that were using the illusion of power.
That's the thing that I have to harp on, because I'm one of the few people who've experienced it from the side with the power: power is fundamentally illusory.
Authoritarians kill to maintain that illusion... because they have to. Once it's gone, and your enemy neither fears you, nor respects you, you become the definition of Sun Tsu's "worst general": the general who's enemy's fight him forever, who never wins the war no matter how many battles he fights, and who's enemies will never acquiesce to his power. Once the illusion is shattered, like a magic trick you know the secret to, it can't be regained.
You need to remember the left has 50 years of riot experience and cop dodging from types like the Weathermen and Bill Ayers.
What was that 50 years, if not an opportunity to learn and internalize the tactics of your enemies?
The right never learned. Lazy and dumb imo.
Not lazy so much as blinded by their bread and circuses. The right have tons of energy and focus, they just allow it to be misdirected constantly. How to fix that is the million dollar question.
That IS laziness. Any democratic system is as much duty as it is privilege, because it comes at the requirement of the citizenry staying involved and vigilant at all times.
The right have failed at that for an entire lifetime now (arguably ever since McCarthy).
Of course there's a need for RW organization that isn't being met. You know what happens to any RW organization that gains any sort of traction? Glowy fedbois come in and break it up, sometimes by straight murder, or subvert it til its no longer RW
Not to mention the external pressure like having your personal bank accounts suspended.
Keep in mind, the police directly let them do this. They took no action to stop them, and in many instances took action against anyone that tried to hamper their (antifa's) "protest."
Contrast this with today, where the cops are being extremely violent, beating people quite hard and definitely dispersing crowds. In addition to fatally shooting an unarmed woman who happened to be in a crowd of unarmed individuals inside the capitol building.
In the event that internet crack-down takes place against any and all non-Leftists. Please bookmark our alternatives at
There is no telling how violent or over-reactionary the establishment's blowback may be. I would suggest you get non-Reddit, non-Win, and non-standard contact information (like private discords, alternative forums, minecraft servers, or spacial co-ordinates in MMO's) to communicate in the event of aggressive censorship.
You may want to consider doing this with your electors as well if you voted for them, as they may be trusted community members to you.
As of right now, it does not appear that .win is shutting down in 24 hours, but it appears that T_D itself might have some kind of user issues. As far as I'm aware, we seem to be uneffected.
If something does go sideways, Saidit is where I'll jump to first since it was the most popular alternative before T_D reached out to us.
Well, they haven't given me anything, so I'm only trying to understand what they've said. I think it means that one of their hosting platforms may intend to shut them out, which would cause their site to be disrupted due to it's high traffic volume on one less server. Additionally, they've gone full anti-DDOS, so they might be trying to desperately keep out the bots to make sure the site has only legitimate traffic (so it doesn't overburden their bandwidth)
why no official discord? I get that you're stretched thin as it is, but delegation is a thing
We don't know anyone who wants it, we don't know who would moderate it, and Saidit had an IRC client and it was never used.
We can actually still use Saidit's IRC, but I don't know that there's any demand to be on Discord as it is.
Careful with private discord. You need to vet people. There's been some right wing discord nuked already through people slipping in and mass reporting.
There's Poal and Saidit:
These were the original provided Reddit alternatives, not without their issues.
If anyone does use Poal, word of caution: they don't want the downvote button used absent of reporting spam. Their admins will go out of their way to deduct points...which are still mostly useless Internet numbers, except they are required for certain features (creating a new subreddit, voting in polls).
There are some other less centralized options too, like Aether. Aether requires an app though, which makes it a non-starter for some. And some others are less forum and more 1-long chatroom, so those don't work either.
Edit: Apparently Dom posted alts here:
https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/11Rh6BoDI4/x/c/4DtDBNkYJyl
Forgot about Ruqqus - https://ruqqus.com/+kotakuinaction2
You should probably forget about Ruqqus. The admins there have been coordinating with a discord group that hates the user base to do massive deplatforming and censorship of undesirables. The group is called the Ruqqus Corrective Project, and functions similarly to SRS and AHS on Reddit. The site has a similar feature to quarantines on Reddit, called "Offensive" guilds.
On Christmas, the top admin and dev helped the discord group seize multiple wrongthink guilds. They also don't consider criticism as part of free speech, and thus banned users for criticizing admins for the censorship.
Ty!
Correct, thank you for posting those.
Party van arrives for everyone who posted on a dot win site. Very sad.
See you in the Truth & Reconciliation camps.
Escalation.
tdw is going through one hell of an insane purity spiral and they refuse to look.at themselves. I've tried to tell them to focus more on culture than this kind of stuff, but no one wants to listen, which fills me with a bit of despair. Politics is downstream from culture, as Andrew Breitbart once said. Ignore this at your own peril.
The duopoly needs to end. Politics turning into Lesser of 2 Evils bs is nothing but destructive. There needs to be more 3rd parties established to provide more nuanced political alternatives. Bernie Supporters should've done it when he got screwed by Clinton and then again by Biden, Trump Supporters should be doing it now.
Man, it's like George Washington was onto something...
Not going to happen as long as the first-past-the-post election system remains in effect. Otherwise, the only thing third parties will do is split the vote of the party they're most similar to, giving the opposition the win.
The big thing that could help with this is ranked or range voting. That way a person can vote for a third party without worrying about being a spoiler.
I've got a few things bookmarked, I know a Ruuqus and a Matrix are two of them that no one uses but I figured I could go try to find people and reorganize if things were to go totally dark. I think this KiA2 community is small enough at least on here that we could fly under the radar somewhere.
I was on TD.win from the beginning and not actually a legacy KiA2 user from reddit. I've followed a lot of the dev process and my opinion is that the main dev (Doggos) is not at all compromised and has planned for some eventualities. I'd actually be more worried about it the unknown money source drying up and it killing the project than it being a plant. I know they've said before they are split up amongst a bunch of different providers (I hope they have some offshore in there too) but any modern website with 250M page views is going to have some third party security holes you can just try to work around.
I spend way more time here post election in particular. Video games + some political bitching was my most of what I did online anyway. The community there has gotten different since the election anyway.
Well, one hoster is apparently already making ultimatums: https://thedonald.win/p/11RhAqC6sa/mods-are-compromised/c/
I haven't been able to access thedonald all day. Can you summarize the situation over there?
Works fine for me. It's mostly doom, gloom, rage and captchas. Although things have calmed down a bit.
Still stuck on the "Just a moment..." cloudflare screen. Maybe because I never post there? Or could be my isp pulling something.
It'll probably be a few days before the most coherent theories rise to the top of discussion, anyway.
Continue documenting are the media hypocrisy around protests and rioting. Nothing really has changed outside of who is temporarily in charge right now. At least in politics you can die many times and still comeback.
Anyone play Elsword? For the discussion of course...
I used to play, but I haven't logged on in years. What's it looking like these days?
I don't really play MMOs much. Is it a good game? Should I pick it up in these trying times?
I was shocked the cop behind her with the rifle didn't get turned into paste.
