It's just another case of cancel culture mentality.
Instead of seeing sports & olympics as an option to keep/establish diplomatic relationships and show people "We are still the same race - humans" blanket banning of countries leads to the opposite. Dehumanization of the enemy is huge thing in wars.
It's what I love about video games. You can play with people hundreds/thousands of miles away and realize "that guy is the same as me, even though he is from another country. he has way more in common with me than some politicians in my country - why should I fight him?"
Not sure about the UK, but here in Germany it's not legal to film a person in public.
Of course it's a bit more complicated as in you can be in background shots and have no right to complain.
But as soon as you become the focus (which was the case in the situation) you need to get consent to film. Especially if you are doing it publicly (which a livestream anyone can watch is) and commercially (she probably gets money/incentives for her blog post).
Depends on the age of the child. Depends on your relationship with the child. And I personally don't believe that privacy has to be a binary.
For the last part an example: Do I look who they are chatting with (the profile) vs Do I look what they are chatting about (the chatlogs).
Diversity staff falls under the recruitment umbrella. When layoffs happen and a general reduction of staff then the staff that is required to recruit people is also cut.
What are they doing at their job? Not hire anyone, because company wants less new people?
Minutes viewed seems like a shit statistic though. The Boys (the other prime series) has 3x the amount of episodes but barely 10% more minutes watched. While minutes watched / number of episodes is also a flawed statistic (especially for the decade old series like NCIS) for newer stuff I feel it's a better data point.
I wish anyone who advocates for war has to enlist to serve in the war they want. That would be great.
Similar applies who sends troops into combat. You can only vote for a military intervention or declare war if you have served in such a conflict.
No more presidents and politicians (and women hi @ imp!) who decide which men get to die for which cause without knowing what war is like.
It's honestly not that new except they do it with the word "the" now.
According to new speak you should not say "diabetics", because that is dehumanizing and reducing people to their illness. Instead you should say "people with diabetes".
Fucking clown world
“Write me a Python script, that uses the TrustPilot API to identify up and coming consumer companies, and then provide me with a step by step of how to run it on @replit”
"1. Take a startups website URL as an input 2. Scrape the website copy and store the result 3. Use OpenAI Davinci to summarise the website and provide an overview of what the startup does 4. Output summary 5. Provide steps on how to run in @replit"
"Takes a GitHub Repo URL, and generates a summary of what the repo does in a way that a non-technical person can understand."
Are given as examples in his tweet. So ... not hard stuff.
