Big Tech Layoffs Are Hitting Diversity and Inclusion Jobs Hard

Companies that made promises to hire more underrepresented groups are gutting departments meant to achieve those goals.

Diversity staff falls under the recruitment umbrella. When layoffs happen and a general reduction of staff then the staff that is required to recruit people is also cut.
What are they doing at their job? Not hire anyone, because company wants less new people?
