A person reading a book versus inputting parts of the work into a machine are different things and should be treated differently.

I'm not convinced one way or the other, in any case, but it's incorrect to claim these are equivalent. Even if human creativity worked in the way a LLM does (arguable) a person is way different than software.

There's a difference between being transformed by magic into a different type of being, versus being a psychopath who mutilates their own body and tries to force everyone else to bend to your will.

No such thing as "faggot" as distinct from "degenerate"

Not quite true. It's not that they're uncaring or ambivalent, they're just hateful and actively hostile to normal Americans (Whites).

Interesting thought experiment to make the customization actually affect the gameplay in various ways.

Would be funny to see NPCs start reacting to those "MAX every slider to make a hideous character" types in horror & revulsion. Although unlikely to happen since developers would rarely want to gate content or acknowledge that those essential "character creation" type features actually are deeply relevant to how you interact with the world.

Seems like they were very intent on playing up demons (tieflings) in the cast.

In general both can work. It's reasonable to have big items (stuff with character-modifying attributes) in a grid fashion, but have a list for "pouch carry" items like keys, gems, rings, and other such items that don't affect gameplay and might be progression/quest-relevant.

Looks nice, although the interface feels a bit clunky in that I don't think this scales for hundreds/thousands of games & mods.

I wish they used IPFS and/or a distributed hosting model like torrent/LBRY to ensure there are more-or-less uncensorable downloads out there.

It's hard to pretend there's a voluntary coalition of states when some of the northern states invaded the southern states with military forces, killed tons of people, burned their cities, deposed their govts and imposed foreign rulers on the people.

There is nothing that can be expressed in human language that isn't a social construct.

The "social construct" idea is propagated stupid people who are pretending to be smart.

It's technically quite feasible to issue someone an anonymous "I am over 18" validation method that isn't connected to other ID aspects (name, address, etc).

But prohibition did reduce crime, reduce deaths from alcohol & associated illnesses.

Why do you feel that banning it "didn't accomplish anything"? Is that based on data?

The point isn't about the specific tech stack being used to make the game, the point is about the tools and extensibility.

Obviously it takes a lot of time & money for a game studio to develop the tech that handles these types of games, therefore only few developers try to do so.

It's true. There are a lot fewer non-indies working in 2D.

It'd be nice if this site had more promotion of non-Leftist game developers & game development projects. It should be the 2nd thread (rename the Lethn thread) and top item in the sidebar on the right.

The problem is anyone learning to make games has ambition to make Skryim / Final Fantasy / Call of Duty or whatever their dream game is.

No one wants to go back and make Space Invaders for their first game (but they should).

Primarily because "The Right" at that time was fighting a losing battle of, "I just want good games, I don't care about the politics or the developers politics."

Well, I care about the politics & about the developers politics. If a developer signed on to a public declaration: "Humans are created Man and Woman" or "Communists are not Human" I would buy their game.

The problem with Captain Planet is that it's so simplified & one-dimensional that it makes children vulnerable to more dangerous threats (climate cultists).

Protecting the environment is good. But you also have to realize that 90% or more of "environmentalist" causes are fucking scams (recycling, carbon credits, climate change, ESG, etc) which exist basically to make life worse for normal people and allow billionaires/corporations/politicians to launder money to themselves and their friends.

The latter message is way too complicated for a children's show, though. So I'd prefer if we just cut out the Captain Planet shit and showed normal people positive ways to respect the environment, without turning that normal & correct behavior into a cosmic battle of Good vs. Evil.

Waiting for other people to fix the problem is part of the problem

The issue is that the chokepoints move to the tools & support side, where they're harder to dislodge.

A bad game studio making bad, Leftist degenerate games can fail. If the Leftists control the industry-standard tools that developers use to make games (e.g. Adobe, Autodesk, and whatever AI-driven toolsets eventually become widespread adopted) then it's almost impossible to fix the problem. There's already major chokepoints with Steam, Epic, GOG, Apple, Google when it comes to the service side.

So while it's true some technological trends may help indie developers, these forces are probably not stronger than the overall centralizing trend.

It's untrue that you have zero entertainment options since there are plenty of books, movies and music from non-mainstream sources that aren't supporting (either directly, or indirectly) anti-White hatemongers.

A lot of that content is going to be older (pre-1950s) though.

Pirating seems reasonable if you absolutely must have current thing, but if you're in the mindset that you care so desperately about having current thing you need to re-evaluate priorities a bit anyway.

Realistically "fandoms" need to gatekeep more. And I would love if there were some method for a fandom to rescind usage of certain terms.

e.g. the "Star Trek" made by JJ Abrams is not actual Star Trek. The actual fans who kept the series alive for 40 years should have more than zero capability to stop a vandal like Abrams from shitting over the idea/property they sustained.

It's not asking a lot for basic commitments to authentically representing the original creator's vision.

Yup. Jesuits have been a subversive wing in Christianity for a long time. Look at who they really are.
