We want translation, NOT 'localization'. Especially not when the 'locale' you are 'localizing' for is California.

Well well well... if it isn't the consequences of your actions. Had you been against this insanity from the start, it wouldn't have spread so far.

The sociology classes I was forced to take were the easiest I ever had. I just took really good notes during class, and occasionally turned those notes into 'papers'. Because I was basically parroting back to the prof exactly what they'd said, I got high marks every time.

  1. Read it.
  2. Interesting, but Herbert's writing isn't really my fave
  3. Sounds interesting, but I can watch this dynamic in real time,...No need for a book.
  4. Read it, would read again. Nothing like the movie, but great. As an aside I would like to recommend the book Bladerunner by Alan E. Nourse. GREAT book but again, nothing at all like the movie.
  5. Sounds like reality last year for parts of Texas.
  6. I think we have a winner.!!! I haven't read it, it's not reality I can already see, and it's not by an author whose writing style I know I won't like.

I still really, really think we should add Bladerunner to the potential mix. It's a great story about a dystopian future where medical supplies and services are carried out in the black market.

They're easy to get because people are stupid. Most people don't think of a hardware store as a place to get medical masks. Same with sanitizers. Remember when people went nuts buying anything and everything made by Clorox? You could visit a restaurant supply store, and easily buy a bottle of concentrated sanitizer solution, 20 bucks makes 50 GALLONS of sanitizer, and unlike bleach-based shit it's food safe and MORE effective.

The problem is that 'disinformation' has become a subjective term to mean "something that disagrees with what I think".

It used to identify lies, like "The USA is not conducting operations in China.... " - "Really, why is that GI over there standing over the body of a dead Chinese dude with an m16 round in his brain?"

Now it is more or less "I do not agree with your opinon..." - "THATS DiSinFOrmAtIOn!!!!!!!!!!!"

Notice that they are all shitty worthless masks. If you really want to avoid some kind of pathogen, and you ONLY have a mask to do it with, cloth masks are worthless. Get yourself a moldex, those are the masks the poor bastards that have to clean up mold infestations wear, and they will stop anything short of a nerve agent. Cloth masks are to viruses as the TSA is to aircraft terrorism: theatre.

The point isn't just to shut them up, The real battle is between us and them for the hearts and minds of the normies. Using their tactics against them loses them ground rapidly. Look how well Nazi, White Nationalist, Racist worked for them. Groomer, pedophile, and communist can work just as well for us.

Who cares? False stories are front page and prime time. Retractions are on page 132b in a font so small it would make the pharmaceutical companies blush, or at 3.23 AM spoken by the micro machine man.

If you want to shame these fuckers you need to use their tactics. Who cares how much it COST to send him all over creation? WE care about that, they don't. Instead measure that mother fucker's carbon footprint so you can get his own people calling him an asshole. "Did you know the 'anti-climate change' advisor burned 923,000 TONS of carbon while NOT doing a thing to curb carbon emissions? " The great thing about turning an opponents tactics upon themselves is that not only is it effective, but they quickly stop using the tactics, taking another weapon out of their arsenal.

There are still a lot of trustworthy scientists. Looks who's funding them and what their funding is dependent on and you'll know who is compromised. The problem is that most people, leftists especially, don't understand science. When someone says 'the science is settled" you're probably listening to an idiot. "Settled eh?? Which LAW would you be talking about, because the most tested thing in all of history, which has passed ALL of them, is still a 'theory'. Even relativity could be wrong."

Thank you very much for your support, encouragement, and most of all MONEY. Now fuck off. As a developer, if you have completely separate codebases for different systems, and you are NOT developing in assembly, you suck, and deserve whatever bad things happen to you. No, seriously.... I mean if you make one codebase for, say, XBOX and another for PC, and you happen to be walking down the street, and for no reason whatsoever a person pops out of the alley and stabs you, you deserved it.

I got it now. In my defense, if I felt like absolute shit, it would be a significant improvement from how I feel now. However, as there is no excuse for such a miss, I shall wear my propellor cap for the rest of the day.

There are three main issues with solar panels at the moment.

  1. The are made of some pretty odd materials, and manufacturing isn't easy, so they are expensive.
  2. The cheaper they are, the faster they deteriorate and generate less energy (though they ALL deteriorate over time, even the really good ones).
  3. They need direct sunlight; they still blow ass at getting energy from oblique angles.

Once all of these problems are overcome, you'd be an idiot NOT to buy them. IMO, and I know I'll get slammed for this, the best solution would be to legislate that all new homes be built with enough solar power to be completely self sufficient. However, since I know this would kill homeowners, we should have competent scientists determine what the cost of solar panels would be if produced at the scale required to pull the off, and mandate that plus some profit as the price of the panels. Also, in the short term, subsidize companies till they can get to the necessary economy of scale.

By doing this we

  1. Get solar power to the production levels that ACTUALLY create incentives to mass produce, AND improve production costs rapidly.
  2. Give our solar industry a kick in the ass, and tell China to kiss out collective asses.
  3. Reduce reliance on an electrical grid that has proven time and again to be shit.

All you need is a small percentage of zealots (I think the magic number is 15%) who will not compromise on anything. Then you need a group of at least 35% that just don't care enough about a particular issue to put up a fight. Once you have both of those, you get whatever the zealots want, no matter what the majority wants.

Translation: Be rich you moron.Buy something expensive like a new electric toy, or a new house, or a REALLY expensive solar system. Geez you people are stupid.

Liberal morons are so out of touch. We should expect it though, these are upper middle-class people who whine endlessly about oppression.

I think he should face a more serious charge for sure. We should all recognize that the far left is to blame for this stupidity. Their conflation of words and violence is convincing people that when they beat people for words, they are jut responding to violence with violence.

I used to not believe in the "we live in a simulation" theory. Now I'm pretty sure that not only are we in a simulation, but it's being run by the kind of kid that locks Sims in a small room with no toilet.

I really, REALLY love Star Wars. It's such a shame that they quit making them after Empire.

Stop calling it that. Play their game and ALWAYS refer to it as the "anti-grooming" bill. The wacky left wins a lot of the time simply with terminology. They rename things such that you are a bad person if you are for/against the things they don't like/like. We should be doing the same thing. When someone screams about "don't say gay" ALWAYS respond with "You mean the anti child grooming bill???? Are you a pedo by chance?"

Letting in a lot of immigrants isn't necessarily bad. Letting in a huge number of, specifically, young men is a recipe for disaster. I'm not some kind of misandrist, isn't just that young men cause the most trouble, are the least likely to integrate unless separated from their groups, and the most likely to stick doggedly to their existing beliefs.

LotR is kind of a boring read, for me, I'd rather watch the movies, which is one of the few books where that's the case.
