The problem is that 'disinformation' has become a subjective term to mean "something that disagrees with what I think".
It used to identify lies, like "The USA is not conducting operations in China.... " - "Really, why is that GI over there standing over the body of a dead Chinese dude with an m16 round in his brain?"
Now it is more or less "I do not agree with your opinon..." - "THATS DiSinFOrmAtIOn!!!!!!!!!!!"
