Honestly Crimea might be the thing he can get back. Black Sea is no longer viable as a Russian navy base, and with that its value to Russia is zero. The Ukrainians have also cut water since 2014, meaning there has been no irrigation for agriculture for a good decade.
If Ukraine was going to get anything back, it's Crimea. The Russians are more likely to insist on a buffer zone of some sort in the Eastern parts.
